I think what he was saying was that ind sells the same oem m2c badge at almost the same price as ecs so you really didn't save much. What you seem to be stating is that you can save money going oem vs custom painted. That's great and all but I personally wanted a matte black badge instead of gloss because my car is BSM so that extra money spent was worth it to me.
The matte badge vs the glossy BSM paint gives it a contrasty pop that is OEM+ 👌

I love the look of leather, I just cannot stand it in the southern summer heat (even with Ceramic window tint).

I swapped the M2 Leather seats\door cards for the M-Sport Hexagon Anthracite Cloth\Alcantara interior that comes standard in a 2-series outside the US. Bolts right up without issues; though I had to swap all the electronics over, including swap passenger seat cover from one cushion to the other as Euro Occupancy sensor is way different than the US one (even though it uses the same plug).

Entire swap (including un-upholstering and re-upholstering for the passenger occupancy sensor) took about 5 hours.

The "Estoril Blue like" stitching color is very vibrant under the light. However, there's an obvious difference when comparing it with Polar Blue stitching (Shift\brake boot and center arm-rest). I'll eventually get those stitching matched.

The US Passenger Occupancy sensor pictured I got from a junk yard, but it was no good (i think it had been rained on or something), so I just swapped skins from one cushion to the other instead. Just FYI, that sensor is "GLUED" onto the seat. No easy task to get it off.

On the plus side. I can turn left and hit my brakes without the car feeling like it's falling apart.
Worry about the clutch later! Thanks for your efforts to fight this thing and save people...do what you can to stay safe.

Yeah that's my only gripe with this is that the stitching is different. Once it's all matching it'll look killer!

Yeah, my local upholstery place is closed due to COVID19, so it'll be sometime until I can do anything.

Started my M2 for the first time in a week. I went to the grocery store. I got a low battery alarm and it asked to be driven some more. I had to go for a drive because it became an essential task. Nice to have an excuse to stay out longer than the stay at home order. And since I was by myself I put no one in danger.

And this is why I bought a battery tender.... but if the weather is fine I'd rather go for a drive!

Pulled the cover off and did an essential run to the drug store. My wife wondered why it took so long to make the 2 mile round trip...

What is better than an empty twisty road?

Got new tires installed to replace the original MPSS. Went with PS4S

Original tires were at 24k and still had some life in them but I got a nail in one so decided to change them all out. I'm very impressed with the longevity of these tires with a staggered setup

I just put 25 miles on her tonight after a 4 month rest.

Man it's so fun to drive when nobody is around.

I saw 1 cop 🚓 just as I was sitting at my exit.

I drive both my cars at least once a week to keep the batteries healthy. Seems reasonable to me because the only risk really is accident which is reduced at the moment. Gas station people are spaced out and I use gloves or several paper towels in the trunk to cover my hand so I don't touch anything. That said I been taking the long way to get where I'm going or A to A driving.

Friday I took the m3 down the coast, today I took the m2 with the girl down the same way then to Whole Foods (treat yo self). M2 got dirty in the twisties though.

I drive today on a BMW m2, though not on my own. Mine should have arrived, but circumstances keep waiting longer. This is drive and power, so small and already powerful

While on lock down i've been busy installing goodies on the car this past week

1. PSM CF Spoiler from Kies Motorsports. Great Quality and perfect fitment
2. Akrapovic Replica CF Rear Diffuser from eBay. Good Quality, though had to make adjustments to make the fitment good
3. OEM BMW M2 Black Emblem (obviously left the Competition part out)
4. Dinan Exhaust System
5. Tuner Motorsport CF [Glossy] Open Intake
6. CF Mirror Cap from eBay - Good Quality and Great Fitment
7. Precut mirror turn signal 25% tint from Amazon - good quality and perfect cut out
8. Added LED front turn signal
9. IND Front reflector

I only have a few things left i want: I'm wanting M-Performance M2C style front lip for MG-OG (AutoID in Europe is making one, but will wait on others feedback), eventually will get rear LCI LED (Euro) Taillights and trying to figure out what wheels I want.

Well truth be told it was taken last Saturday by my GF in the passenger seat on Skyline I think. We saw sunshine, overcast, fog, and rain.

Down PCH, up La Honda until Alice's then to Skyline, then onto the 92 into Foster City/San Mateo Whole Foods, then sadly the 101 home.
