my dealer is not giving me that rate because I am getting a discount on the car price, they say that rate is based on Msrp? do they have the liberty of doing that ?

Yes. They can mark-up the rate. Perhaps if you tell them you're going to pay cash unless they provide the base rate, they'll offer it to you. Otherwise, you can cancel, pay cash, bite the bullet, or shop for alternate financing. Lesson learned is to negotiate the financing at time of negotiating deal so no surprises.

I couldn't have negotiated the rate 2 months back when I signed for the order as the rates were not out then . I was told I will get the best rate based on my credit pulled

While no one knows the precise rate at delivery, one can specify that buyer will receive the "base" rate, without mark-up, during negotiations. If they told you verbally, speak to manager or ownership.

Hi, I'm new here. I'm looking into acquiring a 2020 M2 Competition. I see alot of pricing for US dealerships, but I'm wondering what Canadians are paying. More specifically, what people living in British Columbia are paying.

Not anymore. The 10% and up discounts we previously saw prior to Covid is few and far nowadays. There has been a supply constraint on M2Cs, which has only been recently rebounded. However, with the introduction of the G80 M. Many dealers are willing to sit on these cars a bit more due to the last of the generation and overall applauded as the best drivers car BMW makes.

Now, it is still possible to get between 5-8% off. Especially on DCTs

Thank you for the quick response, JCZ. Your answer makes sense. I am indeed looking for DCT, HS, sunroof, blue trim interior, executive option.

With that kind of build you can probably find something in stock at a dealer, perhaps even a leftover 2020 which would be ideal. A lot of us on here custom order because we want 6MT + no sunroof which is never going to be ordered by a dealer so custom order is the only way to go.

Keylime, good point- however, there are not many HS color with sunroof. I think approximately 10%-15% of all M2Cs have sunroofs- which I understand since it's a performance car and the sunroof adds weight. But worth a shot reaching out to the few dealers with those specs on the lot.

I would wager that the lack of sunroofs is less about the weight/performance aspect and more the fact that it's a $1,000 option that come standard on non-M BMWs.

Hey CFO, I'm seeing 11 new cars in the U.S. (as I post this) that match what you're looking for. One is a 2020 and the rest are 2021. If you want to narrow your search further you can do so:

https://kilter.com/search?line=2+Ser...e.12-oneof.185

Hope this helps.

Edit: Two look to be right by you in Grapevine. One has black wheels and black high gloss trim and the other one has bi-color wheels, carbon fiber trim, and the M Driver's Package. Both are MY 2021.
