What to look out for buying a second hand M2?

Hi all,

Was looking to get a manual 2016 M2 and wanted to get some tips and pointers if there is anything specific I should be looking out that could be an indication of a major issue?

Were there also any known faults for the early model M2s as well?

Thanks in advance!

Honestly dude if you looking to buy one, I would get it inspected by the dealership and pay the 150-250 it is to get it checked. Just make sure it's a car u would consider actually buying if the dealer says it's good just so you don't throw money. My M2 has 18.5k miles and i have not had one problem at all. So I can't help you in that aspect. Good luck with the process man!

PPI is a must. I was most interested in any signs of abuse or neglect.

For example, was break wear commensurate with the mileage? If it was I could feel good that the car was not frequently tracked.

Also was important to me that the car was stock with no signs of modifications.

Good stuff in DanGs link as well.

Good luck!
