There are 2 capacity oil pans for the S55.

A higher capacity one on the F80/F81 CS/GTS cars

https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/par...&q=11137838706

Which I thought the GT4 would share but not according to real OEM

https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/par...&q=11137854463

The "normal" pan is the one used for the motorsports cars.

The dipstick replaces the oil level sensor so im sure the car will throw all sorts of error codes if you fit a manual dipstick.

As shown here https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/sho...70#11137854463

Hard to tell from drawings but it appears as if you were to machine out the center of the dip stick piece you could use it to replace the #9 11137857266 spacer ring and bolt the sensor through it as if the dip stick part were the spacer.

So who's going to do the $600+ experiment?

Ill save someone the cash

The spacer is used on the CS/GTS only not the other S55s.

CS/GTS

https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/sho...19#11137838706

Part 9 has a part number associated to it

Other S55

https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/sho...19#11137854463

Part 9 has a no part number associated to it

Edit: A tuner should be able to code the oil pan level as the GTS/CS one...

Hummm...does that mean #9 is optional on M2C? I have to remove the belly pan to find out, right?

~ $441 delivered + machining to create the hole for the sensor.

For an M2C you would also need custom oil level SW (the sensor won't be in the same place).

or the CS pan and spacer etc. and a "CS" tune.

It "appears" that they created the dip stick by drilling a hole in the side of spacer and welding the dip stick tube on.

It's a nice thought but it sounds like way too much trouble and expense just to add a dipstick.

Wondering where these grilles can be ordered and if they fit the CS?
