My next wheel setup?

I have been on the forms for about two years now, and I've seen several different wheel set ups from BBS and HRE to Apex and Titan 7. I have ran the stock 437m and 763m wheels and never got the look I wanted with the car.

My question with this post would be is it worth making the jump to BBS and HRE at the higher price point? Or is there another wheel design that you would recommend. I would appreciate any recommendations in the comments below.
Thanks!
Connor

If you dont like 763's then you probably wont like RIA's, I guess its time for E88's.

The Higher price point usually buys lighter weight wheels, more complex designs, more finish options, and custom offsets/barrel widths. I dont feel like the price increase from apex/titan7 to hre/bbs is worth it keeping in mind i have very little budget for modifying my car. I dont need the additional weight decrease or design complexity and the finish I want is standard. If I wanted a different design then I'd likely save for Rotiform TUF-R, BBS RIA, or HRE's. Personally I think 763's look great but like most wheels on an m2 require it to be lowered a good amount.

Agreed! Very similar style between the two. Not 100% on the e88 either. Love the look of them none the less

Exactly what I was thinking. Might just go for apex for track use and keep searching for a street wheel. Thanks for the input!

I have never understood posts like these. No disrespect intended, but wheels are such a subjective thing, no one can tell you what you'd rather have.

My advice is to scour the internet for every aftermarket wheel you can find and then use a process of elimination (price, size, availability, color, etc) to select your wheels.

My current favorite is the BC Forged KL01 for overall quality/looks/cost/size availability.

Agree with the above.

It's a simple equation for me. I buy the lightest wheels my wheel budget at the time allows for. I don't consider the looks of the wheel aside from the fitment.
Just goes to show how different peoples criteria for buying wheels can be.

I think the point of his post is to get exactly what you provided in your reply. Probably just asking what others favorites are.

Thanks for sharing those BC Forged.. they're gorgeous!

OP, idk if you've checked out jdm stuff. Check out volks, tes, advangt or whatever they're called

Why not run the Apex (in Forged perhaps for the increased strength) all the time if you like that style?

Trust me I've been looking for a while. Always nice to see what others like as well when it's time to sell the wheels too....

I have! Not a huge fan of the JDM wheels on the m2 but the TE37 style isn't bad. Maybe an option.

Not a bad idea? Wanted 2 sets (one track and one street) in order to swap over to track tires whenever needed without taking to a tire shop to pay $150 and 3 hours for them to swap over tires

I'm not really a fan either. btw, you can go with a cheaper bbs wheel. I have the CIRs that I absolutely love

Clearly you need 3D printed titanium wheels if you don’t want to look like a pleb.

I dont have a specific suggestion, but I love browsing the member's classified section to get an idea of what wheel options are out there...some really great looking sets to help inspire you.

Good luck in your search

Wheels are like shoes.. you can never have too many sets and soon enough you'll get bored
I think I ended up having ~10 sets of wheels on my previous car. No matter what your dream wheel is, I'm in the camp that eventually your eyes will start to wander and you'll want a different set. I'm currently on Gramlights 57DRs, and I like them because they're somewhat unique on this platform, but I'm sure I'll go through quite a few more until I reach a rotation of a few sets I'm truly happy with.

My advice is like many above - if having your dream set of 763M didn't do it for you, chances are you probably need to try out a few more sets until you find something you truly "love". Nobody can really tell you what you're gonna love the most - just have to go out there and try it for yourself.

Thanks for the responses! Couldn't agree more with the fact that I'll never be truly happy with the wheels 😂 guess I'll just get 1-2 more sets and see what I like.

good place to start is somewhere like fitment industries or wheel front gallery. Tons of options and most will give you specs for fitment. Personally for me, I understand split 5 spoke goes well with BMW but it's overdone. I like something with a small lip or step lip given the rounded backside of the M2. Something like bc le52
