Question Help with installing the OEM CS front lip

I've been looking around the forum and internet but wasn't able to find a clear answer.

I got my hands on a OEM CS front lip and my understanding so far is that it needs some special mounting hardware as a part of it connects under the bonnet somewhere?
Some websites show a $500 mounting hardware kit but didn't find any details about it, part numbers etc.

All the CS VINs I tried are showing up as invalid so couldn't look up the diagrams neither.

Does anyone have any details about the mounting hardware?
Part numbers, alternatives, anything?

At this moment I'm really considering to sell it as I was already concerned that I'll destroy it. If mounting it requires additional $500 you'll find it on eBay

synkro can you post pics of the mounting hardware? If it's the same as what I'm using I have a pic for reference and it is not difficult to install at all.

I would just use whatever factory mounting points there is and then just use 3M tape on the rest and call it a day. That's what I plan to do. When you start riveting stuff thats when if you bump it the bumper rips.

I'm actually not trying to improvise and looking to mount using the OEM hardware. If I were to use tape and stuff I'd just sell this one and get a good replica to be honest.

I wasn't able to look up any CS VIN and using the part number it cannot find anything so can't browse diagrams. You got any hints about this?

Thanks

Its the same piece from earlier models, though (I realize now) Realoem doesnt cover 2020 or 2021 yet.

Here is the diagram though:

It does, that's the website I was referring in my first post, where I got the $500 mounting hardware costs. But no part numbers available so I can double check some alternatives or at least to see how they look in real life.

Thanks!

You need different parts for mounting the CS frontlip and you need the manual from BMW.

Price for the parts is heavy

Bracket left ~280€
Bracket right ~280€
Bracket middle (3x) ~85€
Screws and Rivets ~25-30€

Especially the manual is important (you get it from your BMW aftermarket dealer), because there are templates where to cut and drill the front bumper.

...expensive but original

Can't thank you enough for this! Much appreciated!

So I assume you already went through the steps above. Does all of this really make sense?

I mean, I imagine there's a purpose of those brackets but I don't see THAT much of a downforce being generated. I'm thinking about the e36 M3 GT that had an adjustable splitter and brackets going up to the bumper support, but with the M2 CS it doesn't look it would have the same impact.

As I can see you are also from germany.
I have now an issue to get an approval by the TÜV, did you get it easily?
Can you share your experience with me?

Cheers
