CS owners, did you get an M Driving School voucher? If so, how long did it take?

How long after purchase did it take to get your certificate for the M School voucher?

I just got my CS about 2 weeks ago and when I called the school they said they couldn't find any voucher attached to my VIN.

I don't believe that the purchase of a CS gives an ///M-school voucher ...

When I was looking at an M4CS, my center told me that M school - not sure which package - was included if the vehicle was spec'ed with the M drivers' package (like any other M4 here in the US). Could be loud wrong on that, though.

My understanding is that the CS has the M Driver's Package (which includes the increased speed limiter to 174 and the 1 day M School). I've reached out directly to BMW NA and will let you know what I find out.

Indeed, it is mentioned as standard equipment in the US in both the M3 and M4 pricing guides:

https://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1467909
https://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1505227

The package details aren't listed though, so at least based on these two documents, there's no guarantee that it includes the same content it does for other vehicles (such as the standard M3 and M4). In most countries, the M Driver's Package is just the speed limiter increase, so they may only be including that in this case.

I received a voucher for the driver training worth €1.200 with the purchase of the CS.
I think it’s standard in Europe due to the higher max speed (280km/h) vs. standard model.

When I was pricing out my car, they offered M Drivers Package which was the M school in Germany (I'm in Poland). It was like 3k euros for a 2 day course and removing the speed limiter - didn't really seem worth it.

Do you have a CS? Or just a M3 with comp packages?

**Not sure re inclusion with CS, but** call the number to register for the performance driving course and provide your VIN. If your 1-day voucher/credit is not in their records, they will take down your phone number and call you back with an update/status.

They did not see a credit for me when I called them the first time. They called back two days later indicating that the credit was now visible in their system.

In my case, they provided the 1-day course for free or offered a credit of $1550 towards a different course. If you are eligible, they apply this $1550 credit towards a different course *before* providing the 15% discount for being a BMW CCA member.

I opted for the 2-day course for $2078.25 after the voucher credit and the 15% discount.

Yeah, I called before New Years and they took down all my info. They called me back on Wednesday and left a message that there was no voucher attached to my VIN, so I am hoping that it just hasn't transffered over yet.

I definitely intend on using the credit to do a different program. I am interested in the 2 Day Advanced M School, but it is booked until October at Thermal.

I've already done a bunch of programs, so according to the website, I should be fine to skip the regular M School and get in to the advanced.

It took 3 months for BMW to send me a welcome gift (USB drive) plus an invitation for "a one-day car control school" ($849 retail). After I got this gift, I called the performance center phone number (888-345-4269) to inquire about the 1-day M school as part of the M Driver's Package included with my purchase. During this call, they indicated that they did not see the 1-day M school voucher but took down my VIN and indicated that they would follow-up with me.

That would be up to forum admin. My personal thoughts are that the CS is similar enough to the rest of the lineup that a separate forum is unnecessary. Competition models have never had their own forum, and the CS could arguably be described as "ZCP Stage II".

Making multiple forums for different trim levels of the same car is a slippery slope. Yes, the M2C got its own forum, but that car actually replaced the original M2 completely so that made some sense. And the M4 GTS forum serves as a place to talk about its unique water injected engine, suspension, etc.

And what about the new 330i and M340i? They are no more similar to one another than an M3 Competition and M3 CS are (arguably less so, in fact). If the CS gets a forum, then you have to oblige M340i owners with their own forum too. Next thing, someone wants a "ZTP" specific forum, or an M Sport package forum, and who knows what else.

Just my 2 cents.

I'd like a sub-forum for cloth seat owners

and one for 6MT

and one for Interlagos Blue

In the U.K. you get the voucher with all CS’s

Mine came through around 8 weeks after purchase, have replied and I’m waiting to hear back with dates etc.

For anyone that has gotten the voucher and signed up for the 2 day M course:

Can you subtract the $1500 from the voucher and just pay the difference? and

Can you use an additional BMW CCA discount of 15% on the left over price?
