We have a new addition from BP-Engineering using a hybrid dual ball bearing turbo and an inconel material turbine wheel; which is the same material used in the Garrett GTX turbo series. This should mean super fast spool-up but the kit isn't cheap @$6,500 USD!!

Hope they can drop the cost though, $6500 is really expensive.

It's still in testing phases/development, I've heard the stage 3 doesn't have an ETA yet.

Ok thank. I've got a sneaking suspicion that it will be the best turbo out of them all

The gtx 3076r CHRA that VTT is using is good, but tbh I don't think it'll be able to outspool an EFR with its titanium blades and what likely may be the best ball bearing core in the turbo industry. Plus speedtech's manifold has better collectors and a smoother merge point imo, and from what I heard VTT has been having issues boosting past ~2X psi apparently due to their manifold.

So any insight on the technical Side of it will be appreciated. The only reason I said it would be better is due to fitment. As the exhaust housing looks identical to stock location. My understanding is the issue with the N55 turbo it's the exhaust housing and manifold being restrictive. I've heard that pure turbo have had failures due to this down the grapevine.. |

Edit- this is normal with development of a turbo from the ground up, they are just ironing out the kinks just relax and wait.

Is anyone aware of any speedtech kits installed on an N55 M2? From Speedtech website: “Unfortunately, we have not fit up our kit on the M2, though it looks that most PN's are common between our F30 kit, with the exception of the RH motor mount support (this would have to be fabricated by the end user), and subframe.”

Which St1 turbo is the best choice? Or are they basically the same?
I’m really all over the place trying to decide which turbo to buy from settling for st1 all the way to st3 or trading for an M2c. In a perfect world, I would like 450whp on 93oct without touching the hpfp or increasing lag. I think the tte460 would get me closest to my goal but the 6 week turn around is unacceptable. Any suggestions? |

That's why you should for a Ball bearing turbo kits (bigboost), if you want performance, without additional lag. Having upgraded HPFP is not a bad thing at all as you can then run stronger E mixtures. E30-50 as well.
