my fronts were getting pretty low even after 4 trackdays? I had read it's important to swap out the stock pads before 50% of wear to prevent smearing, so after going through what the F8x guys were doing, at least those that track their CCB's, I went with what others have used as per Bimmerworld's recommendation.

I'll know more how they feel after this weekend though!

Yeah, I replace them at about half. It's before the sensor would get triggered. Normally they last 3-4 track days, whereas these are not full days, but 3-4 hrs. Stock pad life is pretty bad, but I rather have it this way than having a harder, more aggressive pad and less disc life.

Can't really say how harsh they are on the street, but the few times I've been out and about on the streets, they don't squeal and so far have felt smooth.

This morning about to complete the last leg of my road trip. At this point the car had done 1200km under all sorts of crazy weather conditions. I'm in awe of Meguiars hybrid ceramic wax.

While you guys all post your gorgeous looking CS....I'm going to drop this in there....4 wheels off at the track. whole interior trashed from rocks and dirt. I've already taken out the interior. Tomorrow I'll remove dash pieces to get in between all the crevices and remove all the mess I made....

Finding that perfect spot in the parking garage…you know, the one that takes a few times to re-park until your wife is so frustrated with you she tells you you're the most indecisive person in the world. And you know what? I'm okay with that. 😂

That's a long day! Hell of a teardown too if you pulled the dash, would have been cool to see the DIY on that one!

I don't think I wanted to try removing the center or the entire dash. But everything else pretty much came out.
