Had some fun at Blackhawk Farms Raceway this past weekend. I got down to a 1:17.360 and a 1:17.76. I've run the track a bunch in the past but this is the first time I had a laptimer.

275/35 square RT660 3DM Öhlins TTX 10 C 8 R 14/12kgmm spring M2 CS Racing sway barts on soft setting Vorshlag camber plates Fr: -3.4 Rr: -2.4 AP 9668/9451 Ferodo DS3.12 front and DS1.11 rear New PR at COTA. I'm chuffed with a pinch of annoyance at this. Chuffed because I managed to run not just 1 PR, but 3 laps within ~2 tenths of that PR in a row... on RT660s that were wearing close to the cords... later in the session... with a slightly higher front brake bias due to running my backup pads on the front axle. I'm annoyed because in this lap, I have a correction coming out of T11, and T18— important corners. There's prob a good bit more time in the driver, and the car is certainly more capable than I am. Circuit of the Americas 2:31.10 May 22, 2022 Ambient temps ~80º F |

Things get a little more complicated with composing the video. I use RaceRender 3 for Mac and then use Aim's software to export the session into a CSV file which RaceRender will accept. I'm still playing with the template, but I'm working off one I found on their forum. |

Made it down to Laguna Seca Wednesday and Thursday with Hooked On Driving. This is from the end of day 2, my 4th day ever on this track, so lots of opportunities to improve, but I’m pretty happy with a 1:46.5 in the last session of the day.
Ohlins R&T, 245/265 Hankook RS4, AP/Essex front brakes. Stock tune. |

I was at Laguna Seca with bentom2 this past Wed & Thu. My best lap for the two days was also a 1:46.5 with 245/40 & 265/40 Hankook RS4s on days 6.5 and 7.5. I forgot to turn on the GoPro for the session with the best lap, so posting the best lap from Track Addict without speeds as it was lagging and annoying to watch. I'm also linking the last session of Day 2 where my lines were a bit different and overall cleaner. Over the two days, I ran a bunch of 1:47s, a couple 1:46s, and some 1:48s. Overall, pretty happy with the first time at Seca with the M2.

Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park with SCDA on 6/4
Hit a PB of 1:19.82 (ApexPro) Below is a lap from another session 1:20.3X. I hit the 1:19 in the last session and my GoPro was dead at that point. Hope you enjoy! |

Dropped my PB in the M2C down a little last time out at Circuit of the Americas to 2:21.12. Conditions were not really conducive to fast laps (ambient temps were pushing 105 and track temps 150). Have made some significant changes to the car since the last time out as well and this was the first time out on track with it. Also still sorting the tuning with Bend Calibration as the weekend progressed. Ended up being able to only run a couple of hot laps in full trim due to racing conflicting with TT most of the weekend. Also on mismatched tires - yokos in front & pirelli in rear... So bit of a hot mess this weekend but feel great about where the car is now and the potential it still has in it.

Nah just an APR GT250. Easy on/off less than 5 minutes. Effective aero really helps this platform.

Nice job. That's a great lap time at Thompson for a mostly stock M2. How do you like the Cup 2s?

First track day at Canaan Motor Club last month. Ran a 1:07.62 going CCW on the stock MPSS with Vorshlag camber plates (-3 F / -2 R).
Certainly a lot of time left out there, but had a great first time on track! 1st lap was the warm up - 2nd was the time attack lap. Did have some issues with the stock brakes when coming back on track after a session with the pedal going soft / dropping to the floor on the first couple of corners on the out lap, which definitely makes me second guess myself in some of the harder braking zones. Already flushed the brakes with a liter of Motul 660 and am running Carbotech XP10s. Going to bleed with 2 liters of SRF and hopefully see if I have more consistent feel.
