single Mid is a deeper sound vs EL ... it is more personal preference as both are a big improvement over stock.... also get rid of the secondary cats .. i still have my single mid pipe and may but it up for sale.... only put about 1500 miles on the single ...

I had an M3 and M4 with few different setups, this most recent pickup of an M2C with Akrapovič is just so good. Hard to justify the price of course but its the best I've heard.

Is resonated EL -> race axel back (no resonators) the way to go for not too raspy?

I think you can get rid of the rasp with even just the Resonated EL midpipe.
Now when you introduce an axleback you need to consider volume, tone, burbles, etc.
I didn't really want to cut my stock exhaust so chose a safe setup.

OP, I think it sounds great! My set up is similar to yours and sounds great with the valves open above 3k. I also have ASD coded out and it is only slightly louder than OEM dB's. Be careful, there is a fine line between what sounds good yet aggressive and annoying. I have had so many exhaust setups on past cars and have learned, even a touch too loud is annoying. I love my set up...

AA EL res mid pipe

That's the best exhaust i've ever heard on a comp but I reckon it would be a bit too much to live with if the car is dailied.

Can't remember how you embed the video.

I have the EL Resonated AA mid and Remus Race currently. Sounds is incredible but always making changes to try out new stuff. I have a meisterschaft GT on the way and will be comparing the two and one of them will be for sale after the swap. Will keep you all posted and try to make a good comparison video. For reference, and I know it's a very basic video, this is my current EL Resonated AA mid with Remus Race on my M2CS.

What kind of difference did the Remus race make compared to standard? unless you changed both at the same time.

I actually went from totally stock to resonated equal length mid and Remus race at the same time. From stock to the AA/Remus system, it was an insane difference. Brought back any emotion I was missing driving the car. Now I'm just never done so I always swap things around and try new stuff. Got a new Meisterschaft GT coming in a week or two to do a comparison.

Nice! I actually thought yours was one of the best sounding! Lets see how the Meisterschaft sounds when you get it!

Custom exhaust

Has any even tried to make a complete custom exhaust without using off the shelf set ups?

I was thinking ideally I'd want the Low RPM grunt of the AA Single midpipe AND the Higher pitch howl in the Higher RPMs of the EL-

Maybe you can achieve equal length in a shorter distance somehow, exiting into a single midpipe?

Would be interesting for someone with the resources and skillset.

FWIW I just switched from the AA EL non-resonated + Remus Sport to a full AA EL resonated + AA axleback and I think it sounds quite a bit better. Makes sense since they were designed to work together by one manufacturer. I now have my Remus up for sale, along with a couple A-B connector pipes for sale (res and non-res).

You gotta pay to play!

Here's my setup, catless downpipes, EL resonated mid paired with the MPE. I'm extremely happy with the final result.

Thank you - I chose resonated because of this. Non res just sounds way too raspy. This is the exact tone I'm looking for
