Disabling Active Sound Design BMW M2 (Technic PnP ASD bypass harness)

Hi all,

I made a quick video on how to disable ASD using the Technic PnP ASD bypass harness:

Such a great investment imho.

Hope this helps any of you and let me know if there are any questions.

Best,
HunterHofman

I think I accomplished the same thing by just coding it off.

This is a repost. The bypass harness has been around for years. I installed mine over three years ago.

It is great to get rid of ASD though. A nice upgrade that still lets BMW upgrade your software without turning ASD back on.

I agree, turning off ASD is nice but this can be achieved much easier, I coded it out with bimmercode last week

maybe 2 min of work and nothing has to be removed

and there are much more useful things you can code with bimmerlink

memory function for auto start/stop but you can switch it off completely if you want to

but there are many more options, you can download the app for free and try the demo version to see what is possible

The post itself isn't repost though. Sure, people have installed the harness before and also posted about this etc. However, the video isn't a repost

I remember some posts saying, When you code out ASD with bimmerlink/bimmercode, you also delete the burbles. Can someone tell us if it still like that?

I know BM3 has a warning on the app itself. I've never tried it myself.

Was that "coded" using that? I believe there are a few ways to code it out.
