Are you running a tune? Just wondering why you would swap out your IC unless running a tune. Did BMW say anything about the IC?

No, no tune. I will eventually. I got a great deal on it and it can't hurt, especially in this NY hot as hell summer we are having. BMW was fine with all the bolt on's.

That's FBO... I'm impressed your dealer wasn't bothered by all of that. Congratulations on finding a good dealer!

Most of the dealerships by me pay no attention to bolt ons. Truthfully this is the first time that I have been to this particular dealer. I was referred to this specific SA by a good friend. They are mostly concerned with Tunes. Although on my 135i (stage2) I had a COBB Access Port (removed for service) but they never even hinted at an issue, even when I had warranty issues.

Did a 3-4th gear pull tonight and car wasn’t pulling as strong then at 4K RPM in 4th gear th car sputtered, so I backed off. No CEL. Waited a few mins and coming out of stop light hit it in 2nd and the car pulled beautifully.

Ambient temp outside was ~82*F

Have a chat with VF... Without logs there really isn't anything anyone can do for you.

So, I may have figured it out..

Held traction off (DSC Off) and did multiple 2nd and 3rd gear runs and the car pulled hard no problem. So it seems traction is the issue and the car is pulling power as a result.

But, if that’s the case I basically wanna run DSC off all the time I plan on getting on it? Seems a bit strange.

I was noticing every so often the traction light would flash on pulls even in 4th gear. Conti tires on 4K miles have that little grip? I mean when it would flash I don’t feel ANY loss of traction so this computer must be super sensitive to spinning tires.

Try coding Euro MDM or M4 GTS MDM and see if you prefer that. In fact... try running in Sport+ which should give you slightly more freedom than Sport. Try that first, and if it's too restrictive, try the other options I mentioned.

Sport + doesn't really help. How would I go about getting one of those MDMs and what are the benefits?

Also, if you don’t want to code yourself and no one close to you can help, Okee at codemycar.com is really good.
