18x9.5 et38 Fitment
I'm looking to get a set of wheels that are 18x9.5 et38 square and I was wondering if anyone knows if there will be any issues clearing the inner struts since they will be 15.4mm closer.
Thanks

Depends on the tire, but you’ll most likely need at least a 5mm front spacer.
Some 265s I tried would barley fit with ET35, some 265s I needed a 3mm spacer for ET32. |

Although I haven't tried anything in this size (I run 18x9 ET30), the front will probably not clear. I would run 12mm space front and rear. This would ensure enough inner clearance and make the outer edge about 9mm wider compared to stock and more flush with the fenders.

Offset isn't everything. As others have said, you'll probably need at least 5mm spacers. But, you need to make sure the inner barrel measurements will clear the brake calipers. A lot of 18" wheels will not.
Edit: you also did not mention if it was an M2, or M2c. The former will fit some 18" wheels, the latter will not unless your running some aftermarket brakes. |
