Rear Appearance

Does anyone else feel like our rear appearance is kind of plain? I feel like it's not distinguishable enough from a normal 2 series.

I'm trying to figure out if adding the MP lip spoiler and diffuser will be enough to make me happy? ...I mean because you could add those same things to a 2 series as well.

Some thoughts...
  • Change out the exhaust with one that doesn’t hang as low or paint the OEM exhaust black. Cleans up the rear.
  • Install a more aggressive CF diffuser.
  • A CF rear spoiler will also be a nice touch.
  • Replace rear reflectors wih acexxon inserts. Makes the rear look wider.

The rear of this car has always been my least favorite angle. It's the tail lights for me. But can't do anything bout that.
As Tag suggested, I've done the spoiler, replaced tips with larger black ones (cyba), and have the inserts to install. Diffuser definitely a future addition as well

These cars have one of the best asses out there.

Not sure how you can say it's not distinguishable from a normal 2 series with how wider the M2 is.

Hard to believe considering the quad exhaust and 3" wider rear fenders vs a regular 2er coupe...

Yea, I think I'm just going to have to order some MP parts. Would it look funny if I have a CF diffuser without an upgraded exhaust?

Not if you snag some aftermarket exhaust tips. Cyba makes some nice looking ones that won't break the bank.

Tips and a diffuser fix everything. Spacers always make a chunky butt look more full and make the flares stand out.

Not digging it on my M2C, my least favorite thing about the car.

I need to paint the muffler to feel a few ticks better about the whole thing but atm, I wish it had a M4 or M3 rear end.

I like the rear, I feel like the wide hips make a huge difference from the regular 2. Only thing I don't like is the large muffler. That being said, you can get some acexxon reflectors and a larger lip spoiler to enhance it and make it look more aggressive.

I think maybe it's the tail lights that makes me feel like something is missing
