Best sounding Exhaust?

I was looking at the Downpipe and Catbypass by FabSpeed, which I love.

My question is, would it pass an emissions test? And If not, which exhaust should I get otherwise? I need it to pass emissions.

Akrapovic Exhaust!

I’ve had Dinan Resonator Delete, REMUS, and Eisenmann.

You simply can’t be Akrapovic, mines for sale.

I also suggest most to just start with a catted/catless downpipe and move up from there

But if you don’t want to deal with emissions, get a nice catback.

In some places at least, just having aftermarket is automatic emissions fail, doesn't matter if emissions are cleaner after mods, after market is automatic fail.

If there is no CEL how would they know the downpipe is aftermarket? I'm my area, as I recall, they don't look under the car.

Visual inspection. Obviously if they don't bother to look, you pass.

I just installed a Remus exhaust and it sounds awesome! It has a much more aggressive growl vs. stock. It is a bit pricey though.

How much louder than stock would you say it is?

I have the M Performance exhaust. Nice agressive sound until you hit the blue tooth remote. Then it is very load. (It has a warning that it doesn’t meet regulatory standards when in use).

I'd say maybe 20-30% louder on cold start and under load. When idling/cruising it is roughly the same as stock. Although I wouldn't get it for the loudness itself - it's mostly the aggressive tone that I like!

OP, Fabspeed sport cat DP will pass PA emissions with flying colors, me being a test case.

I'm going Fabspeed and Remus - it's a magical combination.
Akra and all Ti exhausts are too high pitched and Remus has this deep growl + Fabspeed SC is going to enhance it even more. Highly recommend this setup.

What is the comparable sound with a Catless Wagner DP with the Dinan RD?

I dont mean to promote his sale but no doubt that Akrapovic sounds the best especially accompanied by Akrapovic catless downpipe, it will sound King on the road. But... they are not cheap. Used in good condition could be very good choice!

I just recently installed the Remus exhaust in my car and it's about 20-30% louder than stock. Definitely has a deeper growl and cackles a bit now.

I'm happy with it for now but might go with a catted dp down the line.

Does it drones? (vs oem system)

I would think that most drone would be attributed to removing the resonator. I've asked previously if there are measurable gains by removing it but no one can seem to give me an answer. If I need more noise after I replace my cat I'll look for an axle back replacement.

Nope.

I also have a CG precision valve controller hooked up to it. That way, whenever I want some peace and quiet, I can always just close the valves in whatever mode i am in.

Why go to catted down pipe then?

No cat bypass will pass emissions. There are ways to trick the emissions testing in some states but that is a different story. If you are worried about emissions the Fabspeed 200 cell Catted downpipe is the way to go. You will not have a problem passing emissions in in 49 out of the 50 states (sorry Ca) and I have not heard of anyone having an issue around the world.
