Question How many ///M2s are in New England?

I have a 2017 MGM 6MT and I'm moving from Stuttgart Germany to Rhode Island (car ships in a week) and was wondering if spotting an M2 in the wild is rare. Also, is there an M club nearby. I currently belong to MFlight in Germany.

I live on the Cape (Cape Cod) and commute to the Boston area. I only ever saw 1 M2 in the wild prior to picking mine up in June. Since then, I have seen maybe 1-2 more. For me...I'd say it's rare!

Sweet, thanks! Over here in Germany it's starting to be normal to see them more. There are about 5-6 just in the Stuttgart area.

I live in Marshfield Mass. and have had my M2 for two weeks. I have seen 3 in two years. However, on this forum I met someone with an M2 just a few weeks ago who lives in my town. It is very, very rare to see one. BTW , welcome to New England!

Thanks! I'll be down in Newport, hit me up on the forum if there is an M meet up or cars and coffee. I'm just glad I was able to drive my M2 on the Autobahn for 4 months here in Germany!

Newport is my favorite destination for a drive. About 1 hour away and it has the best coastline, lots of nice restaurants.

Thanks! I hope I can pick up my car from Newark before it gets to cold / icy, still have summer tires on. Glad I was able to drive it for 5 months here in Germany, I will never see 155 mph again back in the states! Shipped it yesterday and BMW gave me 4-5 weeks estimated sooo.....

Welcome to New England. I have seen a couple around the Boston/Cambridge area. There are a bunch of us on the F80/82 platform that set up cruises. Stay tuned as the weather gets a bit warmer.

I saw four M2's at the BMW AutoX events at Ft. Devens last year. I will be attending as many as I can this year.

I drive mine as a DD. I have seen only one other in person. It was a LBB in Back Bay Boston more than a year ago.

Fellow German here from Munich. I live in Milton, MA. Have had the car since Feb 2017. Daily drive it and have winter tires on. Would love to do a cruise/drive along the coast or up into New Hampshire/Vermont sometime!
I've attended Cars&Coffee at the Larz Anderson Auto Museum a few times last summer. Always a lot of fun.

Hi all,
I am on the cusp of ordering an M2 (there's finally one I can test drive at a dealership). I'm in Pembroke, MA (south Shore). I was wondering who locally might have various exhaust mods - I'd love to hear some in person (MPE, Dinan, etc).

Also, if I go through with it (I'm having trouble parting from my Dinan 135), it will become my daily driver.
How would you guys rate its usability as a DD on the local roads?

For reference, I'm coming from a 135 M-Sport, which while surely not as stiff as the M2, can be pretty rough on New England roads, but I've grown used to it.
