I'd say down grades but that's a matter of opinion.

Side skirts F87

I installed the side skirts but these were eclipsed by the rest of the car, or at least is what I think

Swapped the stock trim for the M performance dry CF trim. It's expensive for what it is, but boy does it tie up the interior well! Loving the completeness it brings to the cabin, especially with the MP shift knob I got from IND.

Do you just pop out the airbag module to install that or do you have to remove the steering wheel as well?

Just the airbag module. It was pretty straightforward, hardest part for me was finding the spring that releases the airbag.

I followed this DIY akkando made. Big thanks to him, I wouldn't have tried without the thread.

It was warm enough today to wash the water spots off. Still need to do the wheels but I can do those one at a time. Next will be a refresher coat hydrosilex. Then the cover will go on for a while.

I did the same upgrade. It was pretty easy. Just make sure you disconnect the battery. I love the dry carbon look on the steering wheel.

Finally got around to doing the rear reflector delete, not the easiest minor mod but worth it, with the MPerformance CF spoiler the back looks so much better

Drove it an hour south to Daytona to take in Day 1 of the Rolex 24. I had a great time. No M2s on the track, but a big brother or 3 were out there.

Here's a pic of the RLL M8 which had Alex Zanardi @ the wheel. They had special hand controls for him due to the lack of legs. Him getting in and out of the car was pretty interesting. I hope they finish well. They're in 4th place in the pic here. Who knows how it'll end up with the rain today. Right now they're last in class......

Are you going to do a rear diffuser?

Not sure it needs it, kinda happy the way the back end is looking, the CF tips on MPE and the spoiler seem enough CF for me. I know... there's never enough CF!

Your M2 looks great. We just had the MPE w/ CF tips put on a couple of weeks ago. Absolutely love the look and sound of the MPE.

I decided to upgrade (again), this time to real M2C mirrors. Much better visibility, and in my opinion an overall better look. Couldn't be happier. Here's a few comparison photos:

Stock:

AutoID Replicas:

OEM M2C:

and all 3 in one photo:

Were the Auto ID mirror replacements that much different than the M2C mirrors?

Yes. Besides (arguably) just cosmetically looking better, the M2C mirrors are also wider (which means they provide more visibility), and the folding mechanism design and location is completely different which causes them to fold much faster and leak less water down the side of your doors after a wash. And the fitment and quality of everything is obviously much better as well since it's OEM.

I experience that this weekend. HTF so water gets in there? Through the mirror part because I'm not spraying from under.

Best way to deal with that in my experience is to fold them in and out a few times and then blow them out with compressed air/a leaf blower.
