We are not just talking engine here. OP covered brakes, electronics (amp), engine, handling, ETC. Missing cooling. My buddies OG always overheated with JB4.

OP,

Thanx for the shortcuts on settings! Very useful.

Did u get a m2c specific owners manual for the car? They gave me an m2 og manual.

Gotta say that I can't believe u went slick on the carbon though. That makes the competition unique. Like paying for it three time from car purchase, slick carbon, and resale for a guys who wants a comp. dry weave is sooooo much easier to care for, grips, and gives it a raw feel an m deserves. What do you think of the m4 cs doors?
Thanks!
There were countless posts prior to the M2C release, many saying they would be $10k just for the S55 motor. We got the seats, LEDs, improved suspension and steering, and the list goes on. With $10k depreciation on the M2 anyway, the trade up was entirely worthwhile.

Not sure how you could've gotten an OG manual...the engines are different! The brakes are different!

I'm just not into the dry carbon. Take a look at every Porsche, McLaren, Mercedes, Ferrari, all have gloss carbon trim. Gloss is much easier to care for, wipe it with a damp cloth. Just takes the interior up a notch. Agreed, not a cheap upgrade for some wrapped factory parts though.

I still can't believe how much more value they put into the M2C for only 5 grand. It's nearly as significant as the jump from 330 to 340 or something of the like and is half the price!

I don't think it's as much complaining about the economy, but rather that you have to fill up so often.

I went from an E46 ZHP with a 16 gallon tank to the (slightly) more fuel efficient M240i and have to say that having to stop for petrol much more often is my biggest gripe.

Exactly. No highway driving, last fill up on a dry tank was a whopping 12.7 gallons and I got 14 mpg. I watch a guy winding out a GT3 to 9k rpm, now that guy must be getting 10mpg! I'm rarely over 5k, but usually shift at 4k. The only way to drive!

I get 10.6 mpg...

That’s what I was afraid of! BUT, you got a 23 gal extended range tank, right? That makes sense. I want one!

Yes, I opted for the extended range tank; 23.7 gallons!

I agree with the comment about the tank. It's one of the criticisms I have with the car. It should have been at least a ~16 gallon tank.

As far as programming the buttons, I can't seem program the hp and torque gauge view, not a big deal, don't really understand the purpose of it, fun to look at i guess.

Yep, dry at 12.7 gal, pretty ridiculous for a 400 hp car, but you'll find the same thing in an E92 M3 and a Nissan GTR.

Yes, just a gimmick. It's pretty simple. Go to the performance displays. Once the display is illuminated red, just hold down a programming button until it beeps. That easy.

Hmm ok, works for tire pressure and temp view but not the sport gauges.

Does anyone think a larger tank could be retrofitted to the M2C? When you think of all the fuel tanks that have been created, there has to be one tank out there in automobile land that could be swapped in, provided that there is adequate room. Would a smaller muffler from a custom exhaust free-up some room for a larger tank?

The guy in the video above says he's looking for gas after 150 miles of aggressive driving, that much refueling would get old quick?

The BMW genius dude did that screen for me, so it should definitely work.

I'm technically inept, so don't ask me what he did lol.

I find sometimes I need to go to the previous menu, highlight the option I want, and then save it to a button. Then when I hit the button it goes to the display I want.

Exactly. The basic rule is you can save anything that is highlighted in red. That would also include anybodies phone number, a station or any other feature - I suppose even a location in the nav.

150 miles on a tank... watching you drive, I conclude that it's you. I easily get 250 miles on my commute route.
Not judging, just pointing out that you're having too much fun in your commute.

Is the driver seat still off center relative to the steering wheel and pedals?

Haha, well, I was juicing it a bit for the video - no point filming with the car in efficiency under 3k rpm! I also rarely drive in automatic. 250 miles on the tank, that's pretty mellow driving.

People have said yes, but I've not gone out of my way to notice it. The car has a good driving position.

I commute to work 5 days a week. Some times I also go out to lunch. My priority is on a tank lasting the entire week. In fact, fuel efficiency was one of my top reasons for choosing the LCI over the M2C. I figured I wouldn't have much chance to enjoy (or need) the extra 50hp.
During the week, I allow myself the luxury of driving in Sport+ (because the Comfort mode sucks). I leave the spirited drive for the weekend, when I go fill up for the next week.
