Great pictures.

I'm still giggling at the idea that the arse end of an M2 looks like a 218d. Too funny

It doesn't look too bad with some CF bits and painted muffler & reflectors delete.

Okay, you got me...the M series definitely looks distinguishly (is that a word? haha) better than the non-M's, but I still feel like there's "something" missing.

Adding the 2 MP CF parts seem like they're a must (should just be standard IMO) though along with painting the muffler black (should come standard). The optional aftermarket piece to swap out would be those reflectors...and exhaust if you want to go that far.

Even after all those, I feel like it only gets me 90-95% there...there's still "something" missing to me, but I just can't figure it out. Someone had mentioned the tail lights..that could be it. IDK

I hope this doesn't come out as me whining, but rather more of a discussion.

Didn't notice till you mentioned it but yeah it is isn't it? That was on top of stelvio in bormeo and the sun was out with not many clouds. The ol S5 seems to take honest pics.

To make my M2's ass even bigger I plan on coating the muffler white...

Is there a "euro" rear bumper that's different than the US model?

Thanks. Read something about euro bumpers and thought I was missing something. Guess the front as no reflector.

That's correct, euro front bumpers dont have the reflectors us unlucky people in the USA have. Rear bumper is the exact same though

Off topic but I immediately recognized where you took that picture which is weird to me for some reason. IV House Cantoniera Stelvio. We kept on crusing until we got to interlaken - those roads were unreal and more motorcycles than I have ever seen in my life. Really want to go back on a motorcycle! Jealouse of these guys.

10mm spacers in the back will also make quite a difference in visual appearance looking at it head on from the rear. It sort of accentuates the wider fenders in the back to make it appear as if they're barely able to contain the tires. This is especially true if lowered a bit from stock as well.

To address the initial complaint from OP about distinguishing M2 from 2 series....throw on some 285 or 295 rear tires. Huge aesthetic difference from the 230/235/240's stock 225mm or 255mm stock rubber.

I'm agree, I love the M2 comp and it will be mine soon but...
There is something missing in the rear, I think it's the trunk, should be slightly higher like in the 1M, maybe the not yet released m-performance trunk, totally painted with no carbon will be the solution, or just the CS spoiler..
