Chris Harris M2 Comp same old...

His videos are all too similar. But great car control makes up for the lack of originality.

Me too - his previous ones on the M2 were a big factor in my decision to buy one.

Man, I'd sure love to drive that track too!

Can he ever just drive a car like a race car driver would instead of just sliding it around the whole time lighting up the rears? No one actually uses their car in that manner.

It's kind of fun especially when the rubber is on someone else's dime but I do have to admit it would be nice to see him try to drive fast in more of his videos instead of hooning around like he's in a muscle car convention.

Drifting around like that isn't the fastest way(DOH!) but having that kind of car control means you become a better driver in (wet/slippery) conditions when you need it(when oversteer occurs all of a sudden) and you know how to react to it.

How many(and I mean too many) experienced amateur drivers are surprised by rainfall/slippery/wet conditions and slip/slide/crash their cars unintentionally.

I can make a bold statement that Scandinavian/rally/WRC drivers in general have better car control than 'the rest', but I won't do that.

And it looks cool too!

Cheers

OK at some point mr Roser is showboating but at the end of the day it's about carcontrol. Surface vs tyres vs suspension controlled by a human at the wheel and pedals.

In general this is the fastest way to drive this kind of oldskool supercar around any track.
And as stated by Sportauto carmag editors, M2C is fastest not below the limits/on ideal line BUT on top or over its limits for its fastest laptime.

--->Off course in present day with better tyres downforce and on a dry track it's fastest to drive smoothest, doh.

But if your car is over the limit in any situation it's crucial to react to it the way you should. And on driftdays you will learn that.

Mother of all carvideos:

Uh, yeah, he can...he races in the Blancpain GT series AM class with Team Parker and has proved to be one of the quickest drivers in that class.

As others have said, driving like this has 2 main benefits...it shows a lot of car control, which gives me confidence in what he says about the way a car drives, and it looks cool!

Personally, I have enjoyed the drift days I've done on track in my M2 more than the regular track days. But that's just me

There's always a few guys from the UK, Belgium and Sweden around too.

Erm who said it was?
The picture was taken while I was drifting @ Evergreen speedway (a pro formula drift course) in Monroe WA during one of their OpenDrift events.

Autocross does not interest me and of course I dont "race" my mostly stock $65k M2C right? who does? but I do frequently attend HPDEs (road course lapping) and OpenDrift events.
