Spotify not working

My Spotify stopped working a couple of months ago and it hasn't stopped bothering me. I really like the app when it was working. I can still play music through the Bluetooth connection but it won't display the album covers or other Spotify functions anymore. I'm just wondering if I'm the only one. I have a note 9.

Spotify broke BMW integration with a recent update. You need to roll back to November 7 (8.4.78.530) or earlier.

Thanks for that. I had a feeling it might be that.

It's only a problem on Android devices, Im having the same issues on my S8 and I also tried my iPad and it worked perfectly (seems they neglect android users, the integration seemed to work better) I went to the dealership and they updated my car's software and had no luck.

The workaround for Android is literally two posts up. While not ideal, roll back your Spotify install and everything will work. As much as you're right and BMW treats Android users like shit, this one is not their fault ... it's all on Spotify.

I wrote Spotify and they responded with a generic message:

Many thanks for reporting this. We're sorry that you're experiencing this while using Spotify service, this is not the experience we would like you to have.

But don't worry! Our best tech folks are currently looking into it. A fix should be on its way soon!

If you have any further questions, please let us know

All the best,

Eunice
