Can you ask your dealer what the TSB number is or any other reference number they have? |

My left blinker started malfunctioning on my 2019 M2 Competition. I obviously took it immediately to the BMW dealer and they detected a failure, replaced the whole light and sent me on my way. I felt they knew this fault was common. It was easy fix, hoping it doesn't repeat itself. I live in Germany.

Finally got my right turn signal fixed. There is a service bulletin on this problem. They fixed the wiring harness. Hopefully the problem is in my past.

If I had to make an educated guess, I bet all they did was swap his taillights. |

Thanks but that sounds like an isolated issue, I sincerely doubt that's the cause of the subject at hand. |

I guess we will see if they fixed it. P.S. Since I started this thread, my post is on point. Last edited by DanG; 01-18-2020 at 09:47 AM.. |

Interesting, I took my M2 in to my dealer to get the windshield replaced, told them that the error happened again after their last "fix". They replaced the entire assembly. No mention of an S/B. This was early January.

Replacing the taillights is not going to fix the issue, that's just the dealing rolling the dice at an issue they can't figure out. https://www.newtis.info/tisv2/a/en/f...ess/1VnZ8zZX2B |

I still have yet to have an issue, but within a week of purchase I swapped my LCI US spec tails for ROW amber versions.

The M2 i rented for a day before I purchased mine had this issue.
Fast forward to 6 months later and I buy my LCI M2. Within 2 months of ownership I get the right rear turn signal malfunction. Take it to dealer and they have to replace the whole right rear assembly under warranty. One month later I am driving and the left turn signal goes out!! Take it back to same dealer, replaced the entire left rear assembly all under warranty. This is a common issue that every dealer should take care of. I will post my receipt of work later if anyone needs the info to take to their dealer. |

Having same issue on my 18 LCI for about a month now. As soon as it happened the first time I booked it in with the dealer - they said they would need the car for a day to do a fault finding discovery, however it seems to me like this is a common and therefore known fault.
Right after I booked my car in the issue went away and didn't come back for over a week, by which time I had cancelled the appointment with the dealer, as I thought I would be wasting everyone's time. The issue seems to be intermittent and irregular but thankfully for the most part the indicator works fine. Every now and again the fault comes back for a short period of time and then usually resets itself after the car is switched off for a while. At the moment this is probably only happening for about 5% of the time the car is in use. I will be due a service in April so I'm thinking of waiting and getting it checked then - unless it gets worse in the meantime. |

Turn signal faults are stored. Technician should be able to review the history and confirm the malfunction. My dealer knew my light malfunctioned 4 times and replaced it under warranty even though it has been working perfectly for a week. |

This thread busts so many BMW Driver stereotypes: It's not the loose nut behind the wheel that isn't indicating, but a technical problem with said ultimate driving machine...

Hmmm I've had the issue before but if they need to replace my lights that means I'll need to somehow swap over my reverse light overlays!

In my M2, I can go over a month without the issue showing itself, so it may not be immediately apparent it's resolved for you. |

Checking in to state just had this issue on my 2018 with 7k miles. Right rear. Chime. Fast signal beep and warning light. I turned it off and repeated without the warning. Will take a pic next time and wait for service
