I bet most of the people that own a DCT transmission don't even know that one can double (de)clutch with a manual transmission..
A perfect double clutch downshift into third in full four wheel drift around your favorite turn is like holing a 30-foot putt on a wet green. It doesn't happen often, but when it does, it's AWESOME!.

DCT will always be faster than a human double clutch, but where's the fun in that?

Currently DD a DCT...missing the 6MT

DCT is faster when downshifting but losing out loads of heel n toe or double declutching fun I could have with a 6MT. Upshifting doesn’t feel much if any faster and losing out that high rev flat gear change drama..,I love that feeling of slamming a gear in during an up-shift

1. I have a GT4 that gives me my manual fix when I need it
2. The M2 being a turbo will almost certainly be tuned and I believe the DTC is better suited to handle the extra torque.
3. My wife will be way more likely to drive the M2 DCT. In nearly 3 years she’s never driven the GT4. Now some may suggest this is a good thing. But convincing her to buy another car that’ll only be driven by me is a stretch .
2. The DCT has limitations to the torque it can handle. Around 580. Stock 6mT in M4 have been pushed over 800tq. You would need clutch packs in a DCT.

I am coming from a C7 Z06, the tremec in that car is night and day compared to my M2
you sold a Z06 for an M2?.. Why?

On topic. Ive owned plenty of tremec and this tranny in my M4. Tremec is better but the M4/M2 is light years ahead of the E series gear box in the old m3.
