One of my favorite fleets online, just showed a bunch of my friends your pictures. We have very similar taste in cars. The M2C would also be by far my first pick out of all BMW's right now.

If anything ever happens to my E36 M3 in the future, the replacement would be a LBB 6MT M2C. Enjoy in good health!

Thanks! I agree regarding our taste in cars...which is why I also love your collection.

What's the back story with the E39 and Z? Like how long you've owned them, mileage, ect ect

I personally think the M2C is a much better fit for your collection than the F80 was!

I bought the E39 M5 in 2004 with 19K miles. I searched for quite some time to find this particular combination with the miles I wanted and a prior owner that I trusted. It was my DD until 2016, when I got the F80. It now has 98K miles, which has been static for the past three years. I drive it monthly.

I bought a new Z4MC in 2007. In 2009, the a tech at the dealer took a joy ride and bent one of the front strut towers. After that whole debacle was finally taken care of and I was made whole, of course the Z4C wasn't made any more. So it took me 6 months to find what I wanted in 2009 - my current 2007 Z with 8K miles. It now has 34K, because my wife drives it more than I do!

I agree with you regarding the M2C vs. the F80! I'm planning at this point to keep it long term.

I assume you have had your M3s for some time? (I remember when you picked up the Z4MR.)

KevinM Have you taken it out towards Star Pass or Mt Lemon yet? Two of my favorite roads when I used to live in Tucson.

I figured from your name you must have lived in Tucson at some point!

I have taken the M5 to Mt Lemon (wonderful when you don't get behind a slow car) and the Z4M coupe to Star Pass. I haven't taken the M2C on any drives yet, but I am looking forward to it!

I also love driving in SE Arizona, near Sonoita, Patagonia, Benson, etc. Great roads.

That's awesome to hear you've had them for so long. In the day and age where cars are essentially swapped out every 3 years, this is refreshing. I've had the E92 for 7 years. Has been my dream car even since it came out, and even more so when I got to drive it at the PC. E36 M3 was added 5 years ago I think to serve as a DD. Then Z4MR 2 and a half years ago. I could see myself replacing the e36 with the M2C, but only if something happens to it. I plan to keep these awesome cars for good. They're not anywhere as mint or low mileage as yours, but it doesn't make me feel bad to add mileage on them during nice drives!
