Thanks Mike!
We had a couple of the screws that mount the valve motor vibrate loose after about 1k miles on the car. We retorqued them with loctite this time around to see if it holds up. Since the valve assembly we are using is 3" and not 2.5" like the OEM valve we had to have it made to fit the OEM valve motor and therefore the entire piece is something custom. This is part of the reason longevity testing is so important. Other than that so far so good. We will also be adding an additional center hanger because after the track day the mid pipe had moved about 1/2" and was touching the center brace. The OEM exhaust only uses a single hanger up front by the transmission along with the two rear muffler mounts. With the larger diameter pipe our clearances are much tighter so a third mount will be necessary to ensure proper clearances under all conditions. Other than that, we have about 1200 miles on the exhaust with no other issues. Within the next couple weeks we'll be rebuilding a second system with the third hanger along with a slight revision to the rear routing to make flow and production a little easier. I will say that on track, the car sounds amazing with the valve open! |

How is the final product coming along? When is it expected to be completed? Very interested in hearing the end product.

At first the system will only be available with our full 3.5" downpipe. Once we finalize this system we will be begin in house production and at that time we can work on making an adapter at the front of the mid pipe that will mate up to the OEM downpipe. I don't have a final ETA but we are actively working on getting it to market asap! |

Hoping that this thing is close to being done.. Will this exhaust work with other companies downpipes? Just curious because I already own a downpipe from another company. Thanks!

The first production unit should be ready to go within the next month or so. We will have an adapter for those that are wanting to use a downpipe that tapers down to the OEM style clamp where it connects to the exhaust. The entire system will be modular so that customers can upgrade piece by piece up to our full 3.5" system. We're expecting decent gains on a tuned or upgraded turbo car when switching to our full system that never drops below 3.5" from the turbo back. |

Here's the full system off of the car. The difference in the stainless coloring is from where we made modifications. The darkest colors are from the original prototype and the lightest are from the latest changes. Note the 3.5" V-band up near the turbo. The system never falls below 3.5" from the turbo back.

David looks fantastic! Any chance of using torca clamps rather than vbands? Even if we decide to buy them separately ourselves? Have never been a fan of vbands!

If you look closely each section of the exhaust will use a sleeve over style joint with a torca clamp. We use V-band clamps only at the front where it connects to the downpipe and turbo. V-bands, when tightened will fit more consistently and accurately which is important at the front of the exhaust by the downpipe

We'd like to be able to start shipping the first few units by the end of next month. The first few units will likely be sold as a full turbo-back system.
If anyone is local to us in Miami and interested in a complete system, please let me know! While I have complete confidence in our fitment, it'd be nice to install a system on an otherwise stock car to get some independent feedback! |
