northern NJ trade ride in M2C for ride in GT4

Anyone around northern NJ interested in trading a ride in M2C for a ride in a 981 GT4? I have an M2C on order and have never ridden in or driven one--and I'd like to try. I bought into the hype and am excited about it.

What drew me to the car was a review of the M2 CS compared with the 718 GT4 and some liked it more. Since the M2 CS was really hard to find, and a knowledgeable friend opined on the cost-benefit for MY purpose, I choose the M2C. It's a fun, sporty, MT car with backseats that's less of an "event" showing up places than a Porsche and I was able to build one at MSRP, which is awesome compared with the crazy prices of pre-owned 911s these days, which was a possible alternative.

Kindly let me know.

Thanks so much.

i went the opposite way...got rid of my M2C and replaced it with a 718 GT4. i strongly believe that the M2C will need coilovers and an exhaust to be ideal. i ran with the AA single and Remus Race exhaust and the MPerformance coilovers (made by KW). great combo...until the GT4 happened.

Congrats on the GT4. If it were in my budget I'd not hesitate either.

The 718 is an NA masterpiece regardless of whatever the magazines spew.

They are so very different cars with such different goals, I don't even understand them being compared. But people will be people.

The GT4 is a dull knife.
The M2C a sharp screwdriver.

Personally, I was not comparing the two cars as much as wanting to trade a ride in one.

I haven't driven the M2C yet, but I am eager to test out your hypotheses:
  • The GT4 is a dull knife.
  • The M2C a sharp screwdriver.
I will believe it when I see it...or drive it.

Maybe, and maybe not. I find that it's hard to gauge the true character of a car after a single drive. Yes, you can feel the differences, but to be honest, you have to live with the car a bit, get used to it, see how it makes you feel on a daily basis, to really know its nature.

But I'm a philosopher...

I agree 100%...which is why I bought a WB and NB 993 at the same time...I knew I had to live with them to figure out which was best for me. I kept the NB and sold the WB.
