I could definitely feel the extra thrust 4-5.5k rpm level, but given break-in I didn't surpass that but can deduce that past that level it would really feel stronger.

Was that extra level of power coupled with possible reliability issues long term enough overcome the weak exhaust note is debatable...

it should be a noticeable difference in power...i think stock for stock its a 70whp difference between the n55 vs s55 m2s

I couldn't tell too much from my test drives of the n55 how much slower it was than my M2c.

Been wondering if it would have made a difference. Glad to hear it does because the exhaust note, weight etc all go to the M2.

i know bmw detuned the s55 on the m2c to have a lower more linear tq curve compared to the early s55 m4s. People complained that the early s55 caused snap oversteer if you throttled too early because they were getting all the torque at once at the lower rpm.

you can bring it back with a tune if you want that early tq shove early but you'll have a lot more wheel spin.

Yes I had a 2016 m3 that had too much torque too early, atleast for the contis that came stock.

Then ran a CS tune for another 2 years that was more linear and better in every way but part of it could be due to the PS4S tires.

M2c is slower than m3 but it's much engaging. You can tell it will continue to make power to 7k tho breaking in and have only gone up to 6k once.
