While I agree we are way too PC, there is such a thing as common courtesy. We all have to share the same space.

It's douchey but downshifting and letting the beautiful internal combustion engine noise roar while passing a Tesla is satisfying.

I'm up at 4, and I back into my spot in the garage. Unintentionally it makes it even louder... I don't sit and idle though.

Happens everyday I take the car out. Stopped worrying. With the modified exhaust, even if just cruising, people think Im trying to race them.

Yep, that's another negative of having a sporty exhaust; every STI, 328i, Mustang, etc believes you're challenging them, even if you're simply trying to pass. When the fact is you can eat them for breakfast if you really wanted to.

Insecurity is a bitch..

yeah I gave up backing in almost immediately. I do the startup then quickly into reverse to get the hell out of there but it's always too late and too loud. wish there could be a stealth cold startup.

I do find myself exercising the flap switch in Bimmerlink often. it allows for semi-suppression of pops and farts in sport+ mode which is good when you don't want to attract as much attention.

Gotta say, disabling the GMO exhaust farts was the best decision I've made thus far.
