Paint touch-up kit Hockenheim silver metallic C33. Is there an original replacement?

It may not be original but try Dr Colorchip. I’ve had good luck with their products.

Just had my break in service two weeks ago and asked myself at the parts counter. They still don't seem to know anything about it. The guy at the counter tried to tell me it's a new color. I informed him it has been on their vehicles since the 2019 models.

I'd like to know where to get some as well.

Crazy - I just purchased the Quick Touch paint on Tuesday.

My daughter shut the door on the seat belt buckle leaving a small scratch.

Coming from China, not sure when it will get here.

That's what paint codes are for.

BMW touch up paint isn't special. It's made by someone else and put in a bmw pot and sold for a high price!

Any quality touch up paint that meets the C33 code will be fine. Of course touch ups are solvent based whereas factory paint is water based nowadays.

I used Chipex C33 repair kit, works great.

If you have used a body shop before, call them and ask if they can make you a bottle of touch of paint. I have a friend who owns a shop and got touch paint this way

Does anyone have any news on this?
I am having a half cage welded in to my M2 Comp and I want to have the cage as close a colour as possible to Hockenheim Silver.
I just learnt about the C33 paint code and then found this thread.
If anyone can advise on what paint would be a strong match so my cage builder have it sprayed a strong match that would be great.

Hi mate,

C33 is the paint code for what BMW call Hockenheim Silver, that's it. Any spray shop will just mix up C33. They are standard colour codes.

If they were doing body repairs they may have to tweak slightly to blend in, but as yours will be a separate component you'll never notice a very slight difference.

Half cage? Cool

I have SO and not HS, but I had decent luck with Dr ColorChip kit. Its not perfect, but its about as close as I can reasonably get without wet-sanding and polishing (or a respray).

I found an OEM LLB tough up kit to have in case I needed it. The only place where I could find it on eBay was from a Slovenian dealer :-/

I contacted BMW NA and they stated that there is no touch up kit for C33 and that you need to have it blended locally or purchase online from an aftermarket source.

i just ordered this as well, about $15.00 canadian,
will do a before and after on some rock chips on front bumper

is it me or is this paint really thin?
have multiple chips and only do city driving in Vancouver BC Canada,
my e46 m3 with 150k km had less . .. ..
