I'm not surprise the rear wheels didn't grow in size for the CS; they just going to have use more efficient tires within the 265s sizing..
From 245/35 R19 & 265/35 R19 to 255/35 R19 & 275/35 R19: several M2 owners went that road without reporting any issues (see here).

I have this spec on my OG and lowered on Ohlins...in fact had 285s on the rear briefly. No issues. Can't imagine it would be an issue with the CS.

Two people I know grabbed M3 CSs this month for about $780 a month with $2-3k down, not a bad deal at all for a car with the MSRP of the M3 CS.

The formula for making these CS models is pretty great, I struggle to imagine a more excellent fun-car than a manual M2 CS, but let's hope the pricing, lease rates, etc. are more realistic this time so the cars sell well and we continue getting cars like this in the future.

I agree with the guy above to suspects this particular video is just a car-spotter who is respecting the BMW employee while trying to capture some nice footage for us interested fans.
Sorry man, I have a hard time believing that CS deal you're claiming. Was it finance or lease?

I agree, now that you mention it.

Say it's a lease at $780 a month at 36 is 28k. That means on a 80k + CS, not even factoring in sales tax, they estimated the residual to be over 65%? :

Seeing is believing, prove us wrong..

$780 is pretty low, but my local dealer recently had a CS on the showroom floor that was around ~18K off, and they were advertising a ~$900 a month lease payment IIRC.

Perhaps there are some desperate dealers out there that don't usually have and can't move these last few CS models...

+1

Got to love the grossly overexaggeration of people on the internet.

I'll gladly eat my words if he can provide me a copy of the lease contract of the claim. $780/month with 2-3k down for ANY CS...seems realistic.

$9300 in trunk money, plus give away discount and rebates....a nice savings for sure off sticker but not $780/month savings even from a desperate dealer.
You guys have obviously not visited the F80 forums in a while. There's an entire thread with people getting the M3CS for the same or even lower than what the poster mentioned.

Dealers were discounting 20-22% off the M3CS BEFORE rebates. If you maximize rebates, that was around an extra 6-8k. With base MF and 61% residual, those cars were leasing anywhere from 730-900 depending on the dealer. With 0 down.

Enjoy: CS Deals, Steals, and Three-yulls on Wheels! https://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1579046

Do we expect the M2 CS to have same ‘limited’ or (un)limited run as the M3/4? Don’t want to go all in early for them to offer discounts on them later on
I’ve been told to expect ///m dealers to have an allocation for 2 each and that’s it
Was it similar for the M3/4 CS?

Doesn’t bode that well if the current CS is struggling to sell without big discounts..

This why the M2CS might come out with more competitive pricing compared to the M3CS.

True perhaps they’ve learnt it’s better to have them flying out the door keeping residuals higher rather than having them shed cash

There is enough hype around M2CS. I wouldn't be surprised if it sells at 90k MSRP in California.

Looks nice , but nowadays M sometimes sounds like ///Marketing . There were days that things were more simple . Now they call a competition model with minor upgrades . There were days that was the Pure model and the more racing version of it (like e46 M3 csl ) . No we have competition , Cs , Csl , and sometikes GTS or GTR in future .

Back when the M2C was speculated to be the M2 CS/CSL/GTS we got a bunch of renders...now that we pretty much know most of the details are nobody is giving us anything?
Paul-Bracq-BMW You've done these before...how about a render of the M2CS in Misano blue? Pretty please?

At most 100lbs. Could hit that if it has manual seats.

I’m running CS engine map, diff, EDC, steering, ABS etc in my manual 2018 ZCP. Almost all the CS bits and stickshift. It flies, and is extremely manageable. The diff settings are noticeably better to me.

The M2 CS with a manual gearbox will handle the extra power just fine. Should be fantastic.

They can easily exceed 100 lb if they put the lithium ion battery, which should be a no brainer.

Lithium ion battery is a $3000 battery.

How much weight could it possibly save to justify the cost? Plus I'm sure that the coding level required to make the electronics work with lithium ion would add even more to the cost.

It thankfully stops at CSL, no more GTS...guess it's easier that way to just keep appending a letter M# -> M#C"ompetition" -> M#CS -> M#CSL

https://f87.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1427509

Van Meel said that the CSL designation will replace GTS on the four-rung hierarchy of M cars, which starts with the base model then progresses to Competition Pack, CS, then CSL. Like the GTS, CSLs will be BMW M's most hardcore offerings.
