Do we have any idea when we might have confirmation from BMW on the CS?

Yes it's a different car, different buyer (to be clear, I'd love a M2CS but have no interest in a M4CS) however I don't think BMW is oblivious to how the pricing and positioning could be a problem.

I could be totally wrong. Just my 2 cents. I'll come back here when they release and buy you a beer if base MSRP is $85k+.
Where are you finding M4CS' for high $80's? I know the listing price does not equate to what you could negotiate, but I just checked Cars.com and of the 212 M4CS' they had listed, only 8-10 were listed under $100k so I find it hard to believe they are discounting them into the $80's.

Edit: I just checked another site and found one at $89,999, but the majority are still listed much closer to MSRP

I'm looking for confirmation on this too. Hopefully the MSRP is not too high. I'm thinking in the 80K's for base. I would think the CCBs would be an option based on M3/M4 CS pricing.

CCBs should be an option - but if BMW decides to make this a limited run, with a specific number of units, I could see them limiting options across the board.

I'll spend $50 on a CS badge from IND and less than 1% of the general population will know the difference.

I think you will need to check the f80-82 forum to see what people are saying they actually PAID for the M3 and M4 CS cars. I know people are getting crazy leases on the M3CS, like $900.

As a former M2 owner and a current M2C owner, I have no interest in the M2CS/CSL. I am not paying more to get a slight performance gain (like M4C Vs. M4CS) and get just 100lbs reduction in weight by eliminating the center console, eliminating dual zone climate control, eliminating power seats, eliminating comfort access, eliminating door pulls and replacing the interior door panel with fake CF pieces. Besides, I love my 6MT. And the S58 M2 is just around the corner; I waited 2 yrs for my original M2, I can live with my M2C for 2 more years and wait for the S58 M2 to arrive.

As long as the S55 is still in production with M2C till MY2022 the SOP of F87, the CSL if it ever gets made, would not get the S58 which requires additional tooling for new parts and much more testing and a more costly vehicle validation. Certainly not very economical with a limit run model.

S55 for the F8X simply take it or leave it At maximum we'll see the water injection borrowed from the GTS.

I just see no chance for the S58 to be in any version of the F87...it’s a new engine for the new X3/4M, G80/82, and eventually the G series M2.

But it would be cool if the gold wheels were a factory option

Agree, I want gold wheels on CS. If I can't order them that way, then I'll have the dealership wheel guy handle it.
