Hesitation on Upshift

I've noticed on the track (And confirmed watching the onboard) that the car will hesitate before resuming acceleration on upshifts. I'm guessing this is something happening in the computer, perhaps to prevent wheelspin? Is anyone familiar with this and is there a way to minimize it without custom tuning? I always track in MDM mode.

If you shift at or above 6500 rpm the bog goes away and the car will hold boost into the next gear.
