just curious if anyone had this info..... total manufacturing #'s by color, both US and globally.

I have only ever seen LBB and AW cars....and one MG in addition to mine. Leads me to believe that LBB and AW were probably produced in the highest #'s.

But of the approximate 400 new and used 16-18's on Autotrader, approximately 21% are LBB, 27% BSM, 34% AW, and 17% MG.

THANK YOU! exactly what I was hoping to find. I had no idea they made so many LCI's relative to OGs. Was also interesting to see the increase in DCT #'s with the LCI.

Has nothing to do with telecom, it stands for Louisiana Culinary Institute. You should have gotten a container of jambalaya in your glove box and a coupon for a free Beignet.

LCI means "Life Cycle Impulse", a BMW term for mid-cycle updates.

So here is a funny small MG MT story that you might appreciate being someone with exceptional taste like myself ....

I grew up and still live in the same small, rural NY town. I graduated HS in 1989. One of my high school bud's was a year ahead of me. We were both car guys and both owned several foxbody mustangs. Got in alot of fun/trouble together, usually having to do with cars.

We didn't keep in touch out of high school. Fast forward 30 years, and last month i'm headed to a funeral home for memorial services for a friend's deceased father. Pull in the parking alot and there is another MG MT no-sunroof M2...that same old bud from HS.

It is the only other MG M2 that I have ever seen on the roads.

Alpine White (body in white!) is a very symbolic colour for BMW Motorsports.

It will most likely always be offered because of it's highly consistent take-rate.

Same here man - I have the blacked out kidneys, side markers, carbon fiber mirrors and rear spoiler.

Along w/ the ~black wheels, the white provides a great contrast.

Haha, if you look at the Official M2 Color Photos threads on here, MGM is consistently the most viewed color despite having one of the smallest take rates. It is well loved in that regard and I am surprised they discontinued it.

Artemis has the official quote on speed dial but the designer, Hussein Alattar, said in an interview that MGM was one of his top choices, his early M2 concept sketches were also rendered in a color very close to MGM:

This is true, love it for this reason but don’t forget that Alpine White is the default color and also the only free color option. All of the other colors are an extra cost. Many cars that are ordered as stripped out zero option go with AW for this reason. I think this may skew the numbers slightly.

I love the AW but on the M2 I felt like it didn't show those sexy curves like the darker colours so I went for LBB.
