Was going to post some sort of link from google results for "burqua twerk". There were a disturbing number of results, but I think they were probably all too offensive - yes, even for me. Let's just say that a video of women "shaking what Ala (sic) gave them" would probably be in poor taste.
However, LOL to this gif.

Not surprised, Lebanon and UAE always seem to get the m cars before anyone. 1st e60 m5 I saw was in Lebanon and Saudi Arabia didn't get it until 6 month later. 1st 1m spotted in Lebanon when Saudi Arabia got it 8 month later. Same goes to the m4/3. They started filling the streets way to soon. Already a Gts m4 on the way. Neighbor ordered it to sit along side the e92 m3 gts.

No reason for BMW to cause issues with the masses and they help feed a healthy aftermarket... one so large that they decided to get a cut of it by developing M performance parts... No shame in that game... It's no different with Porsche... they sell aftermarket spring and shock kits and exhaust systems ....

BMW is just fashionably late to the aftermarket party

Also because these cars are meant to serve diverse duty. Not every M car lives a life of constant track days on smooth pavement. They have to get over speed bumps and curbs and drive through rough patches that litter the real world. Even some tracks aren't worthy of really firm suspension. I remember teaching at St Jovite when the instructions included, "Turn in at the frost heave." Those that live in areas with perfect pavement or that drive solely on smooth roads and want a firm ride can optimize their cars with aftermarket suspensions with differing degrees of drop and firmness, but usually, if you consider the breadth of their realistic duty, BMW finds a pretty good compromise.

+1 Thoughtful response. As is, car is excellent in any environment (except blizzard, maybe). If it were reversed and it came slammed, it would be unusable for many. A good compromise indeed. Thanks for the perspective.

I have a top allocation in SoCal for an M2 at my dealer. After seeing that residual value on the M2 after 3 years is worse than my 911 Turbo i'v decided to purchase something else.

If anyone wants it PM me... otherwise i'll just cancel the order.

Congrats on your M2 OP!! look incredible!

Ahhh...driver from Florida. Can you say, "Hakkapeliitta." M cars are fine in the snow as long as its not deep enough to clog the radiator. You just need to wear your snow boots, and you've got free skidpad time (Which is the best place to be once you get the hang of it).

I grew up in Michigan and drove a MB C280, an E350 and a BMW 335i as year round vehicles. Oh, I KNOW it's possible. Maybe just not ideal in real bad conditions. I LOVE never taking summer tires off my car. I am not JUST in FL, I am practically ALL the way down... average temp of 73 for the month of February. Ahhh...

I'm thinking like this!

Drone? Dis ain't a dirty nasty low Civic hatch, bro.

A droning exhaust would be very unacceptable in a modern car - let alone a BMW.
Actually droning is a big problem with turbo engines so the M boys engineered a flap that closes when not at WOT.

Congrats. I would've personally waited for another 4 months, even though it's hard.

But I guess you will just buy another one then
