I got a similar response from a couple of Chicagoland dealers that were recommended to me for ED and I walked as well. It turned out the dealer I least expected, my local dealer, was more than happy to give me ED and ED MSRP as well.......this was in Feb 2019 when M2C hadn't quite cooled off like it did over the summer. I think the local dealer had just taken an M2C allocation in exchange for an M5C they had sitting on the lot forever. There may have been additional circumstances that made them so amenable to ED. I guess my point is......keep shopping around and keep asking like Scout said.

Finally after one of the standard GM e-mail spams hit my inbox from Bellevue, I respectfully laid out where I'm at- how I've decided on the order, and am just attempting to find the correct deal. the GM at bellevue (who appears to be different than the GM that e-mailed me last time I inquired 3 months ago) said they would do 2% discount on top of euro delivery pricing! Woo! |

My dealer did the 5% off MSRP for ED. Other options at MSRP (Carbon Black, Executive Package and Destination charge) were at MSRP. May allocation for him and my delivery. That's on the BMW website for pricing so any dealer asking more than that is not doing you a favor.

Greetings, salutations and felicitations, Gents.
I'm an ex-e46 M3 owner, but have been out of the BMW game for a fair few years (unless you count an R1200 GS in the stable) and have decided to take the plunge on a 2020 M2C after seeing one at the Seattle auto show and then test driving one in Denver. I'm looking for a sanity check from people who know a whole lot more than I do about recent BMW pricing. Here's what I have to date for a special order as there's nothing exactly like what I want in the local area: 2020 6MT M2 Competition Coupe (202S): $58,900 Sunset Orange Metallic (P0C1X): $550 Bicolor wheels (S02QT): N/C Black w/ orange stitching (FMDOE): N/C CF interior (S04MC): N/C Destination & Handling: $995 TOTAL MSRP: $60,445. European Delivery: $55,995, plus $550 for paint and $995 for Destination & handling. TOTAL ED: $57,540 (roughly $3k below US MSRP). Best dealer price to date: Above MSRP price less 5% and minus $500 discount through company discount. TOTAL: $56,922.75 I'm still waiting for a few other dealers to respond (and since it's Christmas week, there's obviously going to be a delay), but am I in the ballpark? From what I've read recently, this seems to be a pretty good price, but a few extra sets of eyes don't hurt. Thanks in advance, and Merry Christmas to all! R. If I'm planning to do ED, would it be wise to negotiate ED pricing and regular pricing at the same time? Or would it be beneficial to negotiate regular pricing first and then using that to drive the ED pricing down?

That's a good question. If I buy an m2c I intend to do euro delivery.

Basically just find the exact build you want, take the build number and e-mail it to all of your region's dealerships saying you want to do ED, what's the pricing? The starting point should be ED MSRP, which you can find listed on the BMW euro delivery website. |

So this definitely supports the idea that negotiating based on the ED MSRP is the correct approach. While people are very sensitive of dealers jerking them around, we should also be careful to not do it back to them, as it probably doesnt create much goodwill when you're attempting to buy a car that they haveto spend extra effort on doing for you. |

That said; my dealer did give me a small discount and I got the CCA rebate. Nothing to write home about but it came to about 7.5% off the car. The worst deal I've ever gotten, but I wanted the M2C

You would go to Munich to pick up your car. BMW allows you two weeks of insurance, so you can drive around Europe. Once done, you can drop it off at a designated drop off point for them to ship the vehicle back to your home country.

Does it cost any extra to get it shipped back? Because that sounds like an awesome thing to do. 2 week vacation in Europe to drive around in your new M2C and then fly home with it at the end?
