Was on the east side this afternoon so I decided to stop at BMW Bellevue to see if they had a G87 on display.
They had one out back that had just arrived yesterday and still had protective things on it. It’s Brooklyn grey with carbon roof and non-bucket seats with M colors and automatic. They said they won’t be selling it so I expect it to be on the showroom floor soon-ish and not go anywhere. Didn’t bother taking any pictures. Enough pictures others have taken. I didn’t take a ton of time to digest the looks of it but I’d agree with everyone that says it looks better in person. Plus it was just exciting to see one after all the hype/buildup over the last 1-2 years. One thing that stood out immediately in person was how huge the tailpipes are! I’m very curious to see ZB in real life. I’m sort of a ZB hater online sooo I’m curious to see what it’s like with my own eyes. Maybe BMW Seattle will get one 🤷‍♂️ |

For reference. The car hasn't been PDI'd yet but will be available for test drives either later today or tomorrow.

There is a Brooklyn Grey M2 in the showroom at BMW Northwest in Tacoma. The sales person said it is a demo model, so they can't sell it for 3 months.

It definitely kills the car regardless of the price tag they’ve tacked on it

Was at BMW Seattle today to get the HPDE inspection done so decided to walk across the street to ask about driving the G87 while I waited.
No problem! Went for a drive … honestly a lot of fun! I’m not surprised with my conclusions: 1. It looks better in person. It’s more aggressive than the F87 but not sure if “better looking” more generally. 2. It’s powerful! It was automatic and my F87 is a 6MT so that made it a bit harder to compare apples to apples 3. I think anyone who gets it will be thrilled with it. I think it’s a better daily driver (more tech). 4. I’m convinced the F87 will age better. I laugh at people that call it dated. Especially the interior. That’s precisely what makes it timeless. When I got the M2C it was sort of on a whim and I didn’t go into it thinking I’d keep it forever. But quite quickly it became clear this isn’t a car I’ll plan to ever sell. I’m gonna keep it for decades. I don’t think I’d have the same feeling with a G87 — but most people don’t keep cars forever. G87 is perfect for the type of people who want the latest car and then trade up for the newer better car a few years down. Anyways. I hope all of us here don’t add on to the G87 hate on the G87 forums. Let’s all be happy that between the ‘two crowds’ we’re all one large M2 crowd 🙂 |

The dealer doesn’t seem to be into M cars. Seems more interested in SUVs which sells more.

They did say that they would give the BMWCCA discount of 10% on parts and service.
