Crank Hub Failure on DCT or MT

Hi All I was wondering if crank hub failure is more prevalent in DCT or MT?

Anecdotally, it’s thought to be the DCT due to the stress of kick down. However, crankhub failure is also common on overrevs on the manual. Overall, it’s a small percentage of cars that have crankhub failures.

Both suffer from it.

Very hard to say which gearbox is at more risk, due to more DCT cars being sold compared to manual. So the failure/sale ratio is not equal.
