After Market Charge Pipes do not use this press fit connection. It is only for the cheap OEM Pipe.

My understanding from other cars is that you should go a step cooler for every 70-100 HP added. Doing so will keep head temps within an acceptable range and prevent knock. I expect that being full bolt on, with a tune will easily add 70-100 HP, so it's something I will do for piece of mind

https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/partxref?q=12120039664 The colder plug, I'm assuming is this one. Which comes as OEM in the M2. https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/par...&q=12120039634 But I really have no way to know for sure. I haven't seen a spec sheet for each plug... Though it doesn't make sense, maybe the lesser models use a colder plug than the M cars. But I am also going off the tech specs released for the M2 saying that the M2 N55 uses the colder plug from the S55. With that said, I advise against running a colder plug for Stg2 tune. Because not a single person has shown a log of it being needed and BM3 doesn't recommend changing plugs. Running a colder plug than needed will make the car run worse. Edit I stand corrected. Here are BM3's recommendations... https://bootmod3.atlassian.net/wiki/...+and+which+gap https://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...7&postcount=28 |
