The problem is that it can still change a lot from screen to screen, I guess even the video does not look 100% equal on all screens. |

I'd try to see an X5M or X6M if you can. I thought it was going to be a clone of Atlantis Blue, but it was more green than I remember Atlantis Blue being. I only saw AB once at dusk so take that for what it's worth. I wonder, if I can find the car again is there some kind of color reference I could take a picture of with it. Trying to think of something in a similar color that would be ubiquitous. Last edited by chris719; 10-30-2015 at 03:32 AM.. |

Chris, if you're looking for a reference, bring s white balance card and do a proper wb of your camera. That should help

Wow great capture photos, looks good in them for sure, really 'lucky' that it was
Parked up perfectly clean Had the mirrors folded in to minimise their discussion (looking at others in the lot only the M2 and X5 are folded in?) Was fully accessible to be snapped Has nothing parked at one side Had a huge X5 parked the other side to,are it look so small and nimble (but an i8 to balance it out) Had no junk in the car interior, not even a coffee mug Was photographed right at dusk when nice shiny metallics look best Despite being BMW NA not an F80/F82 in sight, I face I've seen no side by side shots yet? Only coincidence of course and great effort OP, I'm sure your MG order will be brought to the front of the queue!

I saw it myself as well but I doubt this is some elaborate conspiracy. There was a security guard on bicycle that was patrolling the lots but I waited for him to go to the other lot before I went in.
There were lots of other cars in the lot including M cars. It was parked near the entrance of a building which is presumably where the driver works and parked it for the weekend before going home. Depending on which entrance you took it could be quite hidden actually. TBH when you got up really close I think it could have used a wash. It wasn't in show car condition exactly. |

God, that fake side vent drives me up the wall. Did it appear to be recessed into the fender, or stuck on top? I wonder if it could be removed, leaving only the center "blade"?

Yet another reason to get the M2 in Black Sapphire Metallic.

Since I bought this F56, I think I am going to move forward with an F80 for the 4 door option and keep the mini.

Thanks for the photos.
Although mine will be Mineral grey, that kind of blue was my first choice until my loved wife intervened and convinced me remarking that at my blessed age of 66, the mineral grey should be a better choice. Anyway I will be a happy owner of this fantastic car at week11 2016. |

I agree about the vents and that is a great question. I think MG or BSM will hide it pretty well. Hopefully IND will have a solution to this.

I had off work yesterday and decided to take a drive up to BMWNA to see if I could check out the M2 in person. I was pleasantly surprised to find not one, but two M2s sitting in the lot. First, I must say that I was pretty impressed with how nice Long Beach Blue looked in person, especially after the teal/turquoise color comparison. With that being said, I'm still leaning towards Alpine White, but would consider LBB as a second choice. Another thing I noticed with was how vibrant the blue accent stitching was on the interior. I feel it's a very close match to the LBB exterior color. I took a few shots with my phone (sorry, I don't have a legit camera) and even got a few of the suspension and exhaust. Cosmetically the only thing I was torn over was the darkish blue brake calipers, which seems to clash with the LBB and interior stitching. It's not close enough to match and not different enough to complement. I really wish they offered black, red or grey brake calipers as an option. I guess it won't matter in the long run, as I hear they turn green after a few track days anyway.

Awesome job buddy, deeply appreciate!
I was afraid of M2 stock exhaust design, as it looks like that it's 80mm in diameter, which can support roughly something up to 410 hp maximum. Or this system is identical copy from M235i that's how it looks to me. If you can do few more shorts below the car that would be great! Thanks once again! |

It looks like the M2 stock exhaust is the same as the M235i just with quad tips. I'm sure the internals are different but they look quite similar from the outside: center single in to dual out on the muffler sides.
Whereas the M2 M Performance Exhaust looks like it has dual in, dual out, with a valve for the option of total muffler bypass. How are they going to hook this up though to the stock exhaust? Doesn't look like there is a whole lot of room for some sort of adapter in there.
