About the seat belt, I have no issue. In LH car, LH straight back over left shoulder palm up to hook belt and pull down to switch over to grab buckle RH palm down, connect to buckle no problem.

I have no doubt moving the seat to a more forward position would make seatbelt reach an issue BTW, no, I'll never have issues wearing a helmet in this car, just leg space So I just added another Pro - I ordered a car I'd never sat in knowing leg space is always an issue, and it worked out! Damn would that have sucked if my knee hit the steering wheel on that first shift....... |

Since I haven't seen anyone mention it in this thread...
Con: Inevitable grinding sound you will get when a pebble gets stuck in between the brake caliper and the wheel. I can't believe BMW allowed such a small clearance especially after they ran into the same issue with the M3/M4 carbon ceramic brakes. Amazing otherwise!

I used to have MPE on my M135 and I think on flap close, even the 135 has better sound than this. For flap opened, true that M2C is not too bad but I expect better.

Memorable moments
1. Highway Pulls 2. Low Speed Drifting Disappointments 1. Lag/loss of power sometimes in the twisters (happened before break-in only) 2. Steering feel and Manual Transmission will feel underwhelming if you’re expecting pre-2010 BMW’s. Steering feels artificially stiff, manual is rubbery and rev match defeats the purpose of getting a manual |

Love the size of the car. As a previous owner of a F80 and F82, the M2 is the perfect sized modern M car (to me). I don't think I could/will get rid of it. And the option of having a manual gearbox is amazing. And most importantly, 2 car seats fit in back!!
I'm disappointed that you can't turn off the auto rev match when in sport+, like my previous F82. Gearbox and clutch feel is ok, but not even close to my friend's 997.1 base 911. But it's acceptable, and to me, more enjoyable than the DCT. |

I've always had M/T's, and I LOVE shifting, but after my last Bimmer, I'll never buy another. Just felt like a bowl of jell-o (rubbery), compared to all the competition out there.
This will be my first DCT. Looing forward to a new experience. Quote:

Re seatbelt...M2C is my wife's primary car, and she quickly discovered that reaching back underhanded with your left hand to grab the seatbelt works much better than trying to reach across with your right hand.
8 months and 5k miles on, we both love the M2C. We bought it last September without any test drive, etc, with the intention to flip out of it right away if it didn't make the cut, if the EPS still was bad, etc. So far, so good. (see my thread from last September when I took it to the Michelin proving grounds 1/2 mile skidpad to shake it down)

Yeah. It's a setting. They must have had the wrong config loaded (maybe their market requires it for "efficiency" reasons)?

It always goes back to engine start/stop enabled. Engine efficient, steering sport, drivelogic D1. So my routine is to, Start the engine, press engine start/stop button, press M1. My dealership refuses to touch it bimmercode stuff. So I'm going to have to buy an ODB myself at some stage. |
