Somebody should really look at The M cars to understand the difference between M and M Sport.

I dig it.
I agree, something about the rear valance seems off. The gaps don't seem to make sense. I see what the renderer was going for: |

My biggest design complaint with the 2er overall is the back end - on my M235, it just seems too wide and flat, and not in a good way.
This rendering seems to accentuate that somehow, and again not in a good way. For example, the new M3/4 and the old 1M somehow became wider in the rear, but it looked like the butt was being clenched, or pinched in - it's a good look. This doesn't seem to do that... Good effort regardless.

If BMW follows the contour integrated rear end of the M4 with the M2 it will be questionable at it's best. The M2 will be the perfect size, hopefully a modest weight reduction and possibly the perfect M car...but please BMW make the rear end like the M3....next to the M4 it is much MUCH nicer and follows tradition like the past M's of a few years back. The m3 looks muscular and with it's flarred fenders perfect,,,,The M4 although nice not as nice as the M3...Like the 1M the M3 is right on...make the M2 the same way!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why are people's speculations so bad. This render is garbage, and it wont look anything like it, period. The render is mind blowingly bad. I see where they were coming from with some of the design cues, but it is just not tied together and looks really weird. If you want answers, just look at this:
I personally REALLY hope they do those fenders, so awesome and agresssive, like nothing i have ever seen really. Any way you break it down, it is safe to say the M2 will very, very likely be a home run.

^^^^I agree, I just hope they can adjust the "flatness" somehow...
EDIT - also, I was mentioning something about the M2 today at work, and one of my colleagues said "Isn't that what you just got in March?" and I laughed and said no, it's an M235...and she said "and you're already looking at a new car?" This is how it works was my reply...

Given there is no BMW Individual for the 2 series. I wonder if this would extend to the M2 also?
SCOTT any insights? Or still too early to tell? I'd love some contrasting stitching in the interior to match |
