Love it! My youngest is the same way. Even calls it “his car” or the “loud one”.

Sold my 2019 M2C w/ 18500 miles

Sold my 2019 M2C last week to a BMW dealer in the SF Bay Area.

M2C, blue
18500 miles
no sunroof
DCT
Exec

$62k

Also, getting a refund on unused portion of pre-paid service.

Not sure what I'll buy next, but the M2 was our 3rd car, so no real urgency. I'm amazed I could get that much for the car, given that I had driven it for 3 years.

LOL...incorrect. My reserve price was higher so C&B kicked in some cash to get me to my reserve. Overall, it was a very easy and fun process.

So tempting to sell now and cash in when the bubble bursts. But dang I do love this car, even though it's relegated to the garage with snow on the ground.

I'm in a similar boat but instead the question is whether to buy out my lease or sell it to dealer. Mine is a 2020 M2C DCT SO with all the package/options minus the sunroof, 14000kms. Buyout is $55K CAD + fees and taxes. Dealer wholesale prices are pretty high, about mid to high $60s so I can probably fetch a good amount selling it back to dealer.

Question is, if I sell the car, I'll be left with my beater and a bicycle...thoughts? At this price range, I have no idea what's even good out there in the market.

So you sell, and get 6X000, what do you get? Posrche Cayman S? If you can find. Next gen? I agree there's a bubble right now. However the field of comparable capable coupe's is quite small which essentially can keep the market in the F87 from tanking.
My guesstimate is we could see a +- of about $5K. If the G is a significant upgrade, then the value may level itself downward but not drastically.

Yesterday, a '21 M2C sold on this auction site for $62.7

Here's a history of M2 sales on that specific site: https://carsandbids.com/search/bmw/m2

Don't forget to multiply "sales prices" of C&B auctions by 1.045 and BaT auctions by 1.05 to arrive at the actual price that was paid by the buyer.

You hit the nail on the head. A seal gray 2005 C2S with 33k on the clock just came up around $60k and I am tempted to swap to that...but I don't think I'd be all that into it after a while...it's an old car and the the M2C comforts are nice. On the G front, it will be interesting to see. I am sure the new car will be better in every way, but if it loses some of the raw feel (which it likely will), the F87 could get 993 like status and be a real gem.

Pocket the cash and ride my bicycle to work/grocery shopping and then buy 2 years later? Could use my beater if longer than 2km trips. All depends on what the dealer offers and/or what i can sell it for. Getting this car was well outside my budget but because it was a cheap lease takeover, I jumped on it without looking or thinking twice. Just didn't think I'd be in this situation where I'll be making money on it.

Works both ways as it looks like the depreciation curve would be moved out 12-24 mths as someone mentioned, I could essentially sell it for the same price I buy it out today 1-2 years down the road, which isn't bad at all.

Still got a month and a half to decide

I ordered the new Lotus Emira as a replacement.

Though that's most likely going to be in the $90K-$100K price range, and I'm looking to sell my M2C for $60K to cover most of the cost.

And I'm most likely not going to see delivery until either end of 2023 or beginning of 2024. So there's that.

I was hoping the pricing would be even higher.

I think all of our cars should be worth $100K at this point.

Love how they've called it the "rare hockenheim silver." Isn't that the most popular M2C color?

For kicks. I appraised my 2019 M2c with 9k miles. Carvana offered me $58k. Not bad.

But not selling. Was just curious.

I just traded my 2020 6 speed with 16,500 miles towards a 981 Cayman S, 6 speed, with only 3000 miles. The net difference was minimal and I saved 7% sales FL sales tax on the trade amount. In talking with dealers was offered 60-62 trade just by sending description and pictures. Enclosed trailer delivery to my house, they picked up the M2C, deal done. Porsche dealer in Jackson, MS has the M2C listed for 65. I was only looking at the 981 S as I wanted the 3.4L no turbo.

LOL yeah. HS and AW are the two most common M2C color's, I think.

I did same thing, and was consider trading it in for a Voodoo Blue Tacoma of all things (I literally only have small 2 door cars in the fleet at the moment). Was offered what I paid for the car without really even trying, but in the end, I just can't do it. I think I'd rather sell the E36 M3 and pocket the cash before letting the M2C go. I adore this car.

Yeah I can’t do it either. No other car out in the market now similar to the M2. Also the newer cars aren’t really getting better.

Get both. I have a Tacoma as well. Love the Tacoma and I do a lot of adventure camping trips with it.

I used to have a Tundra and I miss it a lot (apart from the horrendous gas mileage). I never used it to tow and do anything too crazy, but I loved having the room and the fact the car was so reliable.

I'd love a Taco, but they're holding their values so well it pretty much only makes sense to buy new or almost new. That would mean something would have to leave the garage, and the M2C was obviously the most expensive one out of all of them.

I'll just hold out for now and maybe do things to make some of the cars more practical (roof racks, steal hitch ect ect)
