I have the same as my car parks outdoors. I put it on every day when I come back home. Takes about 2-3 minutes to put on and 30 sec to remove. Not a big deal if you know how to do it. I take swirls over bird shit, especially because I travel a lot and therefore I am not able to remove the bird shit for a whole week or two.

For those who have been asking about rain or snow proofing, I've been asking a lot of questions on the Specialised Covers website. My car will be under a porch in the entrance to my house and will get hit with rain on one side whenever there is a storm. I've decided on the Indoor Prestige Elite cover which has shower-proofing for the occasional shower. It has stretchy teflon coating on the outside and fleece on the inside. They assure me that the shower proofing is efficient.

Looking for a car cover for the winter storage. I park in underground garage that has fire suppression system sprinklers above each space. Looking for a cover that offers protection from the pipes, mineral/cement spots, etc. Is the OEM cover thick enough / what material is on the inside? Can someone post pics of both sides of the cover? Any other recommendations for brands would be appreciated! Thanks

OEM is my recommendation: water and dust resistant.

I use them when my cars are not being driven, parked in the sun, when I park over night at a hotel. I have a 10 year old red 1er that looks like it was just purchased. There are huge benefits to having one always ready in the trunk.

Great for indoor but is prone to lifting off if outside in the wind without straps clipped front and back.

The straps can be bought from the manufacture, and a must buy IMO for outdoor use.

Great for rain without question.

Covercraft has free shipping on all car covers now; promo code is FREESHIP.

If you've never bought a car cover before, take a look at this page that will describe the options available to protect everything from a garage queen to a car that lives outside: https://www.covercraft.com/us/en/shop/2017-bmw-m2/. BTW, some car cover companies don't have listings for 2018 models yet; use 2017 in your search.
