My car was pushed from finishing production last week to the 19th. About 10 days later. Currently still in 150 production started.

Garage List
"Production started" is a head-scratcher of a description of that stage, because your car sits in this status for about 2 weeks before it actually gets built, which happens in a day. And that's if there are no delays.

Chip shortage and certain components being in low supply (HK sound system for example)

Don’t think F87 will get delays as we are entering last month of the production and it’s in their best interest to clear the production space for the next thing.
You’d think they are stocked up for the remaining allocations Americas only)

April 30th was probably 150 Production started.

Production on most BMW's only takes 3-5 days max..
I'm listing it verbatim from the MyBMW page and I check about 3x per day, I don't know what to tell you. This allows others to track their own progress and help build a sense of how long things take.

There was a big chip shortage not too long ago that affected a few manufacturers, which may have caused the delays in production. It's what this thread was started about...

Also I don't see those 3 digit codes anywhere on the site and I haven't seen the BMW Genius support mention any of that. Where do people get these from now? The CA? Mine is worthless.

"Was"....the Semiconductor industry is a mess and not getting any better soon. So, the chip shortage is going to get worse before the recovery (2023 best case).
I am hoping that since the global production of the F87 finished December 2020 and all that is left is Americas allocations to fulfill ending June 2021, that BMW has stocked up on those components to wrap up the F87 production and make room for what is next to come to Leipzig.

It's gotta be the Green Bay (Go Pack! lol) based on those dates, getting to Oxnard June 10th.

That was my guess, which was just confirmed by the dealer:

Vessel name is GREEN BAY, estimated arrival to California on 6/8, with another week to transport from Oxnard to dealership.

Welcome to my latest obsession; watching the ships. My car just shipped this week too, but headed to South Carolina.

If you're on Green Bay, then this is you https://www.marinetraffic.com/en/ais...440667/zoom:10

Interestingly, my estimated completion date has slipped from May 20th to May 26th.
As long as that is the only slip it doesn't matter, as June 3rd or June 8th were the 2 next shipping dates anyways.
So if it sits at beginning production now, instead of at the port later, it should still mean I'll get it first half of July.

The next ship to the west coast is June 3rd - June 8th?

No per the sched in the PDF linked above there's 1 tomorrow and then one of the 21st.
My initial estimated completion date of the 20th was never going to get to the port in 24hrs, so I'd hoped/assumed one of either the 3rd or 8th would be what my car gets on.

Two weeks now in "quality check." My CA says that the M cars get some extra attention in quality check. He's guessing it'll be heading to the port in the next few days.

Right.

I called the Genius today. I ordered my LBB manual M2C on April 14th, got a production number immediately and it flipped to scheduled for production by late April. The Genius just told me that the car production will now be mid June, so there is some kind of delay. My dealer originally said the car would be finished in week 20 which is next week.

Sounds familiar. In my case, I ordered April 2, got a production number immediately, and it was scheduled for production by April 29. That happened, but then it went into "quality check" on April 30, which is where it remains today.

Agree there are issues. I don't know why BMW thinks it is better to be murky rather than transparent about these things. Just tell us, so we can plan on the basis of facts.

Did you get a sunroof? Obviously more correlation than anything at this point, but it seems to be the only sliver of a tangent so far.
