BMW Perf Indoor Car Cover fits the CS?

Anyone confirm if the BMW Perf Indoor Car Cover fits the CS?

I reckon it should if it stretches even just a tad to accommodate the slightly bigger rear spoiler and front lip. Looks the business.

I can't do car covers, too much micro marring. My compulsions can't handle it, but man that thing is beautiful!

That would be my concern as well. Won't the cover create small scratches in the clear coat if there are any contaminants at all?

Yeah, any dust or grit, especially at pressure points. In theory if there is a soft liner inside the cover, and you JUST washed the car, it should be okay. But you also have to take the cover off just right, and store it without having the interior of the cover touch the outside etc. Otherwise it eventually will create marring no matter what.

Alternatively, you buff out the car after storing with a cover each time. The marring is minor enough it comes out quick, but then you can't run any kind of ceramic coating etc. as consistency in reapplication etc. there is a big pain.

The cover (or any for that matter) should ideally be used immediately after the car has been washed. Once it hits the elements you have to wash it again before the cover is put back on. Dirt and grit create scratches. In theory if the inside of the cover is the proper soft material, then it will not create scratches. Assuming you have a coating or decent sealant on there, then any scratching should be extremely minimal and quick to take out.

I'm a pretty decent detailer and paint correction comes easy. I'd rather take that on every now and then as opposed to my 2yr old scuffing her bike or wife sliding against the car as they walk by or something. eek

That is why I'll be keeping the CS up in the air, and the E36 will be the slightly more at risk vehicle. I've been looking at adding stanchion ropes to the lift posts to further cordon off the cars under storage though!

Answering my own question as the tread starter.

Luckily (and surprisingly) my dealer had it in stock (otherwise 4 weeks turnaround) and go it upon delivery. I can confirm it fits the CS.

May fit like a size 6 girl in size 2 jeans (Toight, toight like a Toiger!), but carries it with proper appeal!

Wow, that's great. I ordered ages ago and they said it's backordered. I think I'm going to cancel my order.

Check on the status, as it is a really nice indoor cover. I usually splurge for the Covercraft FormFit covers, but they are pricey, bulky, and certainly do not have cool graphics!

Called my local dealer and they say it shows 0 in the US warehouses and 60 in Germany. Only 1 dealer shows it in stock "Puerto Rico".

Wow, that's rough, as you are likely looking at a 3-4 week turnaround time factoring supply interruptions and logistical dynamics. I was lucky they had it in stock (BMW Manhattan is a big dealer so I guess they can sit on parts inventory), and as I said am very happy with the product. If you can wait for those 3-4 weeks it may be worthwhile in the long run. Online you can even get it cheaper than your dealer (and in most places free shipping and no sales tax)

Thanks for your info on this, is the cover soft on the inside?

Finally got mine. How the heck did you get it to fit around the front splitter. My car is coated and and keeps sliding up.

It may be an order of operations thing - for mine, I tuck the mirrors into their slots first, then stretch the cover over the front lip. Once everything is sorted up front, the back tucks away nicely... but then again, there could be manufacturing tolerances that can make the cover not fit over everything

How's this car cover working out for those of you that have it?

Anyone know the BMW part number?
