hey I like the sound of the N55....my 135is sounded amazing stock...maybe even better than my 1M stock...but it's not a unique sound for sure.

Wait till you hear it with the M2 ///M Performance Exhaust in "Track Mode" or with the Akrapovič exhaust (rumored for release late Spring).

I don't think so. The "farts" are triggered by super fast upshifts. I don't think that a person is able to shift as fast as a dual clutch with a manual single clutch.

One thing I've always wondered is why the dual clutch on exotics, think Lambo, Ferraris, don't have that "fart".

What is the technical differences that causes these cars to make that sound when shifting fast via DCT? I'm hoping it's not emissions related compremises...

It's a new thing. Might be emissions related, but I think it's more that someone thought it was cool and the ECU is doing it on purpose.

This. Same goes for all the exhaust crackles, pseudo-misfires etc.
It's trying to infuse a bit of soul into modern engines.

Familiar to me. Our Audi S5 with double clutch makes the those crackles too.

You'll need to have these handy after you get the car. One tablet in the tank with every fill up should do the trick.

Haha Hi Fab, finally coming to the dark side then.

Great stuff mate, I'm still confused as to colour and transmission but i think LBB with DCT is the way I'll go.

If it sounds any where close to that clip in real life, you won't need a PE..
