This car absolutely needs an M4 style carbon fiber roof. The lines flow perfectly with the hood crease and if this is supposed to be the small toss able M car it has to start there...shedding weight at the highest point.

And with black CSLs.
And without the wing. Or hood vents.

Not so sure about the 2 Series weight advantage (at least the M235i anyway.) The base model M235i and 435i are within 100 lb. and 2" in width of each other. Or course, the M235i's smaller aerodynamic cross section should help top speed. M235i: 3505 lb. (6MT), 3535 lb. (8AT) 69.8" width x 174.5" length 435i: 3600 lb. (6MT), 3635 lb. (8AT) 71.9" width, 182.6" length I think BMW's plan for the M2 will probably be determined more by economics than by where the car might or might not end up in BMW's performance model hierarchy. There must be a spreadsheet somewhere in Munich with all the numbers: carbon fiber panel costs, Active M differential cost, M4 suspension crossover parts costs, enhanced N55 development costs, cost of manufacturing and stocking all M2-specific replacement parts over the life of the model generation, production costs, projected sales and lease pricing, projected sales and lease volumes in all markets, 4K mile "free" service costs, projected service and maintenance revenue after 4K miles, ad nauseam. So somewhere there's a sweet spot. With enough go-fast components to put the M2 ahead of the M235i but not with such a high sticker price that it won't sell. I think the biggest hint we have about the M2's performance is the rumor that it will have a warmed-over single-turbo N55 instead of the twin-turbo S55.

Its a more relevant render but it still looks a little "Aftermarket".
Perhaps its is the angle but there needs to be more depth added to the rear wheel arch. It kind of looks like an M Sport 220d with M Performance accessories when you squint. As for L shaped LEDs? I do not think M2 will receive these just standard "sqircles" Thumbs up for the rendition of the aeropacket however.

But in a few BMW driver training sessions, the instructors called them Head Restraints ( good for rear impact whiplash ) when going over seating position and adjustments, instead of Head Rests. They would say "you're not driving a lazyboy reclining chair and if you think you are, you're driving the wrong brand." It's now really stuck in my head as Head Restraints. I think they said the ideal position is 1-2" behind your head - your head should not be touching. It's there for your safety, not for your driving pleasure and hence by law it has to be there. Just like they didn't want people calling the dead pedal the dead pedal. The reason being, your foot doesn't lie there as if it's dead. You brace with it. It's there to help you create a stable base to ensure your driving inputs are consistent. But for the life of me, I can't remember what he called :P

Can someone do a re-render and take this into consideration?
a) Angle this section in more. This looks flatter than the game render. The game render seems to show that it has more depth into the intake. b) Flatten this section out a bit. It looks perhaps too angled or even sculpted compared to the game render and the camo shots c) It looks like the front air curtain section extend further up in the game shot and connects with the upper side of the "b" section I highlighted. In the camo shot, it doesn't extend that high maybe... but maybe its just taped over at that height.
