I've been ultra careful for 6,800 miles. Slip-lo is a must IMO:

This one looks closest to the CS Lip: Even has the optional brackets.
https://autotecknic.com/collections/...m2-competition

Might be worth a try for a replacement.

That looks pretty good, tempted to put that on and save my OEM lip while it's not damaged.

The lip is a wear item.

The lip as a wear item is correct. At $2300 for a replacement, I would rather not replace it every year.

Mine is a wear and repair. That thing is going to have to be hanging off the car before I replace it it's a struggle because the CF lip looks great. But it pains me when I see damage. I scuffed up the ppf the other day when I lightly touched a high curb parking. This is after I said to myself. I probably shouldn't pull forward anymore just in case, but think I have room

The car is short enough I figure I can let the ass hang out a bit. Commonly park a solid foot to foot and a half off the curbs. Not taking chances!

yeah I am always feet away from the curb, when I am brave enough and say I will pull closer I hit something or plow through dirt and grass lol I don't have the CS lip though because I know I would have cracked 3 of them by now.

The shorter length of the car is invaluable to allow you to park away from the curb when straight on (and another reason I prefer reversing in). I had all sorts of hurt with the carbon lip on my lowered F80 (replaced it twice with plastic versions).

This is probably too late, but do you have a hockey stick repair company locally? Hockey sticks are carbon fiber, and I have found stick repair shops do a really good job repairing carbon items and my local stick shop offered to repair my front lip for a pretty good rate. I eventually opted out to go for a new lip though, because my gts lip was damaged quite bad and the damage was on the top side so you would notice the carbon weave being off.

Good call. There's a go local that's done some work for the Pcar club. He looked at mine and said he could patch it. I'll see how that goes, but I bet the folks doing hockey sticks could also do a fine job. I'm going to keep that in mind

Yeah and they don't just patch it for looks, they patch it for strength (not that it will look alot worse than auto body places) and it was a really cheap quote too. Plus they have autoclaves big enough for multiple sticks so carbon lips will generally fit.

I got my lip from China and when the guy saw it he said it was the thinnest carbon he has ever seen, and no wonder it broke. He told me he could make it alot stronger with his carbon, but the only thing is it may look off because there was no way he could match the pattern when patching.

Also note, some stick shops might only have the large 2x2 or bigger weaves so the checkboards will be huge, that is something to consider as well.

I would appreciate your feedback on the comparison to the stock spoiler. It looks to have the same mounting holes, at least in the pictures.

Do keep is posted on the fitment and weave and how close to OEM it is. I'm in need of a replacement too.

After long shipping delays, the front splitter and hardware arrived. First impressions, not bad at all. Almost near identical replica of OEM CS lip. Installed with factory mounting brackets, and screws. Check out the photos for yourself. I would say smart purchase at one third the price of BMW.

I am the exact same way and have been with all the performance cars I have owned. And I agree 100% that the CF lip looks awesome!

Did you have a chance to weigh the difference between OE and that piece?
