I'm gonna derail a conversation a bit. Does the S55 sound different because of the two completely separate headers and turbos (almost making it like two 3 cylinder engines)?
I really like the N55 sound especially combined with the MPE. |

Curious if the s58 ends up twin turbo or twin scroll? People say it sounds like an n55. |

A bit off topic maybe but for those that compete in Motorsport...
Targa Tassie is a truly world class event but extremely expensive to do. 6 days on some of the best public roads you will find anywhere. Have done this event previously & would love to do it again. There are several other similar events run in other states of OZ that make up the overall championship which are fabulous also & a little more affordable for those of us on the mainland. Marques such as Porsche & Mercedes regularly bring their best factory historic performance cars from Germany to compete in this event. It's for true performance cars both young & old (various classes) with only minimal modifications allowed plus the usual rally safety requirements. From the point of view of a competitor for the past 20 years in a variety of Motorsport disciplines I can confidently say tarmac rally is as good as it gets & leaves circuit racing for dead imo. This is my Clio RS 200 that I competed in tarmac rally's in. Have a Megane RS 275 Trophy-R track car now. I'm guessing those of you from the U.S won't know what these special cars are but those from Europe sure will.

Holy thread revival Batman.
That Targa car is probably running an MPE, and likely with a sport cat. The long fart on throttle lift gives it away. |
